Norwich Ghost Walks

If you are looking for a fun walking tour, then you cannot go wrong with the Norwich Ghost Walks. At only £6, it's dirt cheap to learn some of Norwich's most interesting history. They also have a food special with the Adam & Eve, which is the starting and ending points for the walks. Walks start at 19:30 so arrive a little early and enjoy some good eats and a pint or two. Bring your walking shoes cause you'll need them. Bwwoooohahaha :-)

The wife and I both love 'ghost walks' and always seek them out in whatever town or city we visit on holiday. Saw a notice for Norwich Ghost Walks in the tourist info centre and looked them up on the web. Their site is well set up with info on the walks, costs, where to meet etc (there is also a link to a video on youtube that shows the 'Man in Black' in action.

In the later half of the year there are 3 different evening walks (Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays) that feature different locations and stories. Meet at the Adam and Eve on Bishops gate - (very old pub which used to be the brew house for the cathedral and is itself haunted) and see the 'Man in Black' ('Man in' to his friends) at 7.30pm who then leads you on an eventful journey into the past. There is history, horror, humour and the odd surprise thrown in by his ghost assistants.

Went on both the Tuesday and Thursday walks and the only disappointment was that I missed the Monday evening walk. Learnt more about the city from 'Man in' that any of the formal sources - he explains that he is actually about 160 years old (dead obviously) - c'est la vie !
