Middle aged man and teenage son called in for lunch. We both had the full English breakfast. Meals and service were very good. We sat downstairs beside the till. I think the lady on duty there was the proprietor. She and her waitresses were very friendly. We did not go upstairs, But according to comments from other customers as they paid their bills, the room upstairs is particularly nice with an interesting view from the window. The real test is will I go back. Yes. I can see future days out to Norwich and middle aged man taking his wife here. I can even see a bit further into the future and the possibility of teenage sons taking girlfriends here.

We visited this tea Room on a Saturday afternoon. Staff welcoming as soon as we entered the door. We were asked what we wanted to order to which we replied we still had to look at the menu. The reply was that there was no quiche and no salad. We were then invited to sit upstairs. Waitress was quick in cleaning the table for us. Food was good. But then the surprise. Non matching cups and saucers. And dirty cups. Settling the bill at the till was a very inefficient process. Suggest owner to visit charity shops for matching cups and saucers. As well as the cleaning.

The food at this small Thai restaurant was just excellent and the service was equally so. The atmosphere was very comfortable and relaxed. Visiting Norwich regularly for family reasons, we will undoubtedly return.

Hope I have the correct tea shop. If so, it was decorated in a 'war time' era, very quirky and eccentric with odd chairs and crockery but the overall effect was great. Add to that fabulous cream teas at a decent price, served by attentive and friendly waitress and what more could you want on a warm afternoon in Norwich. Most friendly welcome of all the places we were in.
