The 15 acre gardens are open to the public from April to September each year. The gardens are a mixture of wild planting and formal walled gardens. Lovely tea room, sat outside as it was a gorgeous day, food was fresh and arrived quickly, visited the gift shop, reasonably priced with something different from your average gift shop, my cat decorated plant pot was a bargain at £4.50, will be going back again.

The gardens were lovely in full bloom and there were sculptures all round the gardens. However there are a lot of PRIVATE no entry notices and the restored glasshouse supposedly a feature was off limits, today. Just felt unwelcoming. A little over priced

A great surprise - traditional but beautifully kept gardens, just beyond Wroxham, and currently hosting a sculpture trail - look out for butterflies, bees and birds set in bucolic countryside - children's activity sheet with stamps en route. Although we didn't use the small cafe the cakes looked good and we were told that some people had only come for lunch! Family run business - very friendly.

We visited Hoveton Hall for fathers day. We arrived an hour after opening and decided to have tea and cake. The tea room itself has the majority of tables outside. It wasn't particularly busy but we did wonder why most people had taken their own lunch... we soon realised this was because the service was appalling!! Most of the food had already sold out and there was only one person serving..very slowly!! I ordered tea, scones and a tea cake. We were given the tea and scones and asked to wait for the teacakes. The 2 customers in front of us had ordered hot food. Whilst I appreciate there is a queuing system, I think it only common sense to have popped the teacakes in the toaster whilst the hot food was cooking. As a result, we waited 25 minutes for the tea cakes.By this time we had long finished the tea and scones. Another couple waited half hour for soup. The gardens however were lovely and we picked a perfect day to walk around. Be aware the gardens are extensive and there is only one set of toilets which are at the very start! The gardens aren't wheelchair or pushchair friendly either. There was a good selection of plants in the gift shop but a bit pricey. Overall would recommend. But take a picnic!

We visited the gardens on a lovely sunny, reasonably warm day. Ok £7.00pp is about the going rate for this sort of thing. The gardens, in particular the spider garden, was lovely and you could see there was a lot of work gone in to it. But the rest of the space, whilst was also lovely, was pretty much nature doing its own thing and very well! The tea rooms are where the real problem was for us. They have received 5 stars? For the cleanliness of the place, I would say its probably because the kitchen doesn't get a lot of use because its too expensive! Tea £1.50 is about right, but £2.50 for a slice of cake is a bit rich. But doesn't be put off by that because the gardens are very nice.
