I have been to Merge many times with my husband and children and we have also had several visits with a larger group of us ( birthdays/family get togethers ) , the food is always lovely, the staff friendly and the restaurant clean.great value for money and we are never put under pressure to hurry up like at some all you can eat places.

We went here on recommendation , however we were very disappointed .lack of attention on arrival , food quality poor ,service by staff unusual.only only 1 member of staff smiling and god bless her .do not go here unless you like sitting with screaming children and attendants of the biggest loser ! Could not wait to leave .the only saving factor was that we had some live entertainment via a local chap who wished to practice in a large auditorium .will not return .

The restaurant is situated a stones throw from the city centre and with plenty of parking available MERGE offers an extensive choice of food at lunch and an even bigger choice of food in the evening from various countries, all I found of excellent quality. It's nice to see children are catered for as well on this menu. A warm friendly greeting from the staff upon arrival always inspires confidence as does the stylish and welcoming atmosphere. Compared to their competitors within the city I have found MERGE to be the best in the area by a very long way and commend the Owners, Manager and staff for their dedication to providing excellent quality food and customer service. I will definitely be returning and am certainly looking forward to doing so.

My wife fancied a Chinese meal for Sunday lunch and being new to the area I searched the internet for a convenient restaurant. Merge's website talked of a fusion of Asian cuisines, buffet style and showed photographs of a smart, refurbished interior. All for just £6.95 per head. I should have known better.
At these prices, if they were delivering as promised, the place should have been heaving. The reality was quite different. On arrival we found less than 50% of the tables occupied. The furnishings and decor looked decidedly tired. We should have walked away then but we were famished. It just got worse.
The range of dishes was quite bizarre [for example, Asian frankfurters?] and the few dishes that seemed popular kept being emptied. The noodles were inedible, tasteless and only part cooked and the rest of the dishes offered [there was a fairly wide selection] offered a variety of peculiar tasting, generally tough cuts of meat.
Even if your budget is very limited and/or you are absolutely starving, avoid this place like the plague. Truly horrible.

Close to the city centre and excellent value for money. Merge has an extensive range of asian food from different counties, you're bound to find something you like. There's even some offerings for the youngsters.
The food itself is better than take-away standard and the thai green curry is especially good.
The biggest let down was the ice cream, more ice than cream! But there is plenty of fruit on offer and a chocolate fountain too.
The staff are available but not intrusive and the surroundings smart.
If value for money is what you're after, this is the place!
