Had not been to the Theatre Royal for many years, and certainly not since it was rebuilt to modern standards. We saw the Dame Edna Farewell Tour, which was full of laughs as expected. Sat in the upper circle, seats K30/31, which had plenty of space in front, being a main thoroughfare. Comfortable seating. The theatre bars were very busy, as you might expect from a sell out show, but we eventually got served. Will definitely go back, and highly recommended. Plenty of car parking close by.

Easy parking, good location, excellent seats.
Hot buffet was a bit disappointing, didn't look very appetising.

We went to see Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake and were very impressed by the organisation. location, prices and facilities of the Theatre (and obviously by the performance). We tried to book a pre-show dinner at their restaurant but were too late which, in retrospect, was a good thing. The restaurant (which we visited) is a bit cramped, noisy, not cheap and slightly lacking in atmosphere but the bar does hot food as well. My recommendation is to get there early, get a good table in the bar and take advantage of the hot self service buffet which is very reasonably priced and more than sufficient for a pre-show meal.

We visited for the first time to see Dame Edna. Seats were comfortable and it was pleasantly intimate (although not too much).
Would definitely go again.

Very pleasant, comfortable, modern theatre, clean with good bars and refreshments. Difficult to beat for a good nights entertainment in Norwich.
