Owner description: The playbarn is a fun packed farmyard based adventure centre especially designed for children under 7 years. Set in the countryside only 10 minutes from Norwich off the B1332 Bungay Road and is open throughout the year. Indoor activities include a Beach Barn, giant climbing frame, soft play area, ball pool and quiet areas. Outside we have a climbing den, tractor courtyard with ride on tractors, electric sand digger and tractors. From Easter to October we offer pony Rides and Tractor and Trailer rides on certain days. The children's farm is also open during this time where you can meet a range of friendly animals including ferrets, donkeys, goats, ponies, alpacas and pigs. Our Puzzle Paddock is home to our maze and secure picnic area. We also offer snacks and light lunches from our coffee bar.

We went to the playbarn at Poringland today Good Friday, Our first thoughts were how expensive it was £1.50 for Adults and £6.50 for the kids. I think this is quite a bit over priced as one of the grandchildren was only 11 months old. £1.50 for Adults who do not use the equipment is over priced. The first indoor climbing area was showing signs of wear and tear as the plastic animals had very worn edges and the plastic was split, (do they have a Heath and safety inspection on this equipment). Seating in this area was very restricted when watching your kids. The outdoor area with small tractors and ride able buggy's was quite nicely set out with lots of room to play, their was a indoor sand pit area which looked OK but our kids did not use it. There was a climbing frame outside in it's own enclosed area which the kids enjoyed. They had pony rides but that seem to close just as we got there and really should be open until the barn closes at 4pm. not 2 hours before. Once you walked through to the outside area they had plenty of seats indoors to watch your kids outside. We paid £19.00 for 4 adults and 2 children aged 11 months and 3 and half. like I have said a very expensive 3 hours as the playbarn at Wells does not charge for adults with kids admission £4.50. All in all for the price we paid we were not very impressed, but if like Wells the admission was £4.50 for kids and Adults were not charged it would have been a more reasonable price..

I have been coming to the playbarn for years! During half term i took my son and his friend (both aged 5), they had a great time and were kept amused most of the day as there is plenty to do! I think they do lack in seating though as me and my friend had to sit on the floor, and even eat our lunch outside (it was very cold) due to there not being many seats. We go to quite a few play areas and i do like the playbarn but find their choice of food on the menu isnt as good as others but food itself is very tasty.

I also have a spree book, and was very upset to find that you cannot use spree vouchers in half term. As spree books are usually aimed at people with school age children, i find it very annoying they do not allow the book to be used in half term, especially when other indoor play areas are valid anytime.

Been lots of times with lots of different children and it never fails to please. Am hoping to take my little grandson there next spring as he will love all the ride-on toys and the sandpit.

Plenty to do, mainly outdoor but some indoor too. Good value for money. Only problem is its sa bit of a funny layout and can be tricky to keep track of your little ones, a lot of people seem to just let kids out of the gate on their own so keep an eye on them xxx

Good number of options for kids of various ages both inside and outside . Decent food options .There is more to do in the summer with more outdoor activities. Note not open to public on Saturdays
