Review of Earlham Park

The best park in the city I think for Dog walks or just walks. With a lovely river and a very scenic walk, this bit of green so close to the city is a gift....!! the Earlham park cafe is the place to visit for no nonsense good food....the breakfasts are legendary and the owners are the most friendly lovely people.....!! Winter or summer, it makes no difference to the enjoyment....!!Very very highly recommended...!!

We always take the grandchildren to this Park as they live quite close by. There is plenty of space for them to play safely as well as bike riding paths. The more formal gardens are well maintained and, un season, the small train is delightful, nostalgic ride. The boating lake is very interesting.

Used to spend loads of time here, dog walking, running and similar. Still pop there now and then with my young son - he loves to wear his willies and paddle in the shallow parts of the river. Also enjoyed sledging back in the winter. It's also an easy walk through to the UEA broad and its numerous walks and bits to explore.

Good walk, lots to see and do. Excellent parking facilities.
Be careful of dog poo though! There were a few careless dog owners who, given the nature of the park, should be more responsible for cleaning up their dogs' 'doings'

On the face of this park it appears as a grass land which attracts a large quantity of dog walkers. If you walk towards the broad and take a left, there is a beautiful garden with a seated area.
Parking is free but limited due to UEA students using the car park.
If you continue to walk around the park, you will stumble across a carved tree with some delicate patterns, definitely worth a look.
