Whether staying over or just dining in, this is definitely worth a stop! The menu offers fresh, innovative dishes, the staff is welcoming and attentive, and the rooms are cozy, well-appointed havens in which to relax. And love the retro vibe!

Had a wonderful stay food and staff excellent, rooms on the whole seemed excellent although the one we had Room 7 was outside and was on the main extremely comfortable but was situated near the boilers and was very noisy at night and we had to be moved late at night which was done very professionally and swiftly. If we'd had another room I would have given this 5* as the location, bar, food and staff were fantastic.

Room Tip: Do not choose room 7, at night there is a lot of boiler noise.

Lovely atmosphere created in the entire hotel with the retro feel they have created, from the fantastic designed light above the reception area to the designs of the room. Arrived late but greeted with friendly and happy service, ate in the bar (more about the food in a sec).

The hotel is fantastically situated and we stayed in room 6 which as a view of the church opposite which at night is a stunning view. The hotel is a short walk from town, so situated in near a roundabout but you would not know, very quiet and that included with the window being open.

It's an ideal location so that you can walk in to the town centre do some of the attractions, get back quick leave shopping and head back to the theatre or what ever your chosen event for the evening is.

We had breakfast included and as I mentioned ate in the bar the night we arrived - fantastic! The platter we had for 2 was massive and tasted lovely - we had some cheeky sweet potato fries and onion rings too (if you are going to have onion rings this is the place to have them! They were onion rings and not the nonsense that gets passed off by some places- they had....well onion rings in them!)

The breakfast was a great way to start the day and kept me going until early evening - choices from the cold bar - cereal, fruit, cakes, juice etc and hot part - I had full English (with poached eggs, and scrambled eggs the other day - both excellent!- only downside no black pudding but can understand why!)

The staff were really friendly, warm and welcoming. It was a joy to stay there and when we go back to Norwich it will be where we stay- nothing is going to make us feel any better than here. We really loved it!

A lot of work and efforts gone into this place and it deserves to be booked out! (except for when we come to stay!)

There is parking available as well.

Room Tip: 6 we had, but 1 and 5 looked good as we passed.

Thank you to the Georgian Townhouse, what a lovely room! The staff were very accommodating and helpful, all the amenities were in our room, a lovely selection of local snacks and drinks and a yummy breakfast included! We had a great stay with them it was only a shame it was only for one night! We will be back soon.

The style of this hotel is "Retro or Shabby Chic". It works well in the public areas but in the rooms it means that there is some lack of space to put clothes if you are staying fore more than a couple of nights. That said, the beds were extremely comfortable. Some rooms have king size beds and those are worth asking for. There might be some noise from the bar area at night but it wasn't too bad and didn't disturb us. Some might be bothered by it so avoid rooms 16 and 17 which are over the bar/restaurant entrance. The staff were all friendly and keen to please. The Georgian is very popular so I have to conclude that people like what they are doing here, we certainly did and if in Norwich we'd stay here again. Walking into the town is possible, say fifteen minutes, and a taxi to the centre was £6 in October 2016.
