Very clean and comfortable 'bed & breakfast'. Vanessa couldn't do enough to help us. Breakfast ample and tasty. Only 15 minute walk into center of Norwich. On top of that - can't be beaten for value! Will stop again without a doubt.

I stayed with my husband for a night as it was my birthday. We were greeted by a lovely lady. She showed us our room which was a beautiful room with a shower en suite. It was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was lovely and very filling . Fantastic stay at a lovely place will be back

We got to the B and B late about 11pm, had no where to pack was told to leave car at a church behind the building, the church was also full. My husband stayed in the car to wait for a space so I walk with a baby in the rain to the guest house. we notice we have been charged more than what we agreed to pay when we first booked the room, an elderly lady agreed to refund us back the difference. we left the next morning to go out we came back in the afternoon and our room has not been cleaned, we went out later in the evening and it has still not been cleaned, we confronted an elderly woman who claimed her daughter and the husband own the place and that she is just helping them and that she thought we were still in bed, our TV was not working, all furniture so old. we were not shown where to sit to eat and when we asked she was not happy and was showing bad manners Etc. they really made us felt unwelcome and could not wait to see the back of us. there is no one about to ask your concern, no reception area and no one to talk to. we were so uncomfortable during our stay and could not wait to leave. Nobody answers the telephone when you call. Everything about their services felt like you are in a hostel. They are not prepared to offer services but just to take money from people This B and B is the worse place we have ever stayed the list goes on but I will just have to leave it. We will rather pay that extra money to stay in a good quest house than cheap one.

When we booked our room we sent a message asking about cleanliness due to my husband's illness and pointed out he could not be anywhere with damp or mould.

We easily found Aylwyne House on the main road into Norwich. Friendly Glynice greeted us and mentioned my message so pointed out that the en-suite room at the front may not suit our needs due to a leak but offered us room 1 at the back with sole use of a nearby bathroom and we were happy to take this although it was rather small.

Unfortunately the very small old fashioned TV in the room kept freezing and pixilating. We could not find anyone in the house to report this to so left answer phone messages on the 3 numbers available. Later Daniel called round. He could not fix the TV in the bedroom but suggested we sat in the conservatory and used the one in there, this was not as bad but still froze and pixilated from time to time. Sitting down I got wet feet from a puddle on the floor and pointed it out to him but he just said they had heavy rains last night and then left without mopping up the water. He did agree to us having a free breakfast due to the problems.

Using the toilet that evening I noticed that whilst it had been wiped over the underside of the toilet seat was dirty and the bowl could have done with a drop of bleach.

Having a bath next morning the hot water ran out and whilst lying in the bath I could see mould around the window frame and that the tiles on the walls had maybe been wiped over but certainly not properly cleaned.

Breakfast was excellent with cereal, toast, cooked breakfast (although oddly my husband got tomato and I did not) yoghurt and drinks.

Probably the cleanliness problems would either not be noticed or not a problem to others but were for us.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the back to avoid noise from the traffic and upstairs so you don't hear the pe...

Me and my Partner was arriving in Norwich during the night, we found this B&B by internet and telephoned to book.
Because my GPS was out of order and we was lost in Norwich she called us to help.
When we arrived she was really kind and gracious.
She lent us also the hairdryer.
Bedroom and bathroom cleans.
And the breakfast was delicious.
Thank you a lot Saffa

I found this on laterooms .com and tried booking through them they would not answer phone. I rang personaly and left voicemail and got a text 3 hrs later saying what availability they had. I confirmed the booking my end and asked for conformation from them as we where travelling from 4 corners of England to attend a funeral and wanted somewhere to sleep. I rang that evening and the following day at various times during b&b bussiness hours and the phone rang five times and then was put to a mobile voicemail. There has been no conformation or comunication from them at all. Very dissapointed in the service. Many other B& B where full but very helpful in helping us find alternative accomodation.

We arrived here around 3pm having spent a night previously in Great Yarmouth. We had been in an excellent room there, so expected something of a let down here, as it is a guest house and not an hotel. We were pleasantly surprised, the owner - Daniel - had called just before we arrived to make sure that we were coming. The room we were in, room 6, we had asked for deliberately, as it was recommended on trip advisor. It was very clean, bright and comfortable. We went out in the evening and arrived back around midnight. Unfortunately some other guests arrived back - noisily at around 4am! They continued being noisy for almost an hour, until Daniel had to go and speak to them. So we had a bad night, but that was just misfortune, certainly no reflection on the guest house. We didn't have breakfast, so can't make any comment there, but when we went downstairs, Daniel and his mother - in - law (who lives on the ground floor), both apologised for the noise in the night. In fact it was his mother - in - law who had telephoned Daniel about the noise, as he lives next door. Would certainly return.

Room Tip: We asked for room 6, as we had seen it recommended. It was very nice.
