The food is always tasty although service when very busy can be a bit hit and miss especially if the waiting staff have friends in! That aside if you know that meals do not arrive at the same time which they always inform you of if it is your first time, it is great value. I much prefer spending a few £'s more and taking my kids here than a a burger joint. Healthy food and very quick compared to most restaurants and fun. Sometimes being seated next to strangers on the large tables can start some engaging conversations, if you want (My kids seem to want to!). A great place for a family meal but of course try and avoid the busy periods unless like at any popular restaurant you don't mind having a bit of a wait for a table.
All in all a great place for a quick tasty no nonsense meal that is FRESHLY cooked.

Love the food in Wagamama, it is delicious! Been with friends, family and my partner. On this occasion I went with my mum and we enjoyed our meal. We fancied another dish half way through our main and this was fine. We were well looked after. Good wine, good atmosphere, good food and great service. Fab.

“Not bad for a quick lunch”
Reviewed November 24, 2012

I used to come here a few years ago but haven't recently so decided to give it another go. They have revamped the menu but the restaurant is still the same.

The restaurant was very busy at Saturday Lunchtime with a queue at the door, staff were quick and efficient though so tables were flipped quickly and nobody waited long. Despite it being busy staff remained helpful and friendly. The drinks and food orders were taken quickly and arrived quickly.

Having been to Asia I know the food isn't going to win any awards for authenticity, but it wasn't too bad either. Gyoza's had a good taste and consistency, but the Ramen lacked something and were a bit bland. The food did all taste fresh, so big points for that ant not following the trend of a lot of Norwich restaurants in serving up reheated frozen rubbish.

I wouldn't go here specifically for a nice meal out, but its a good option if you are in the area and need a quick reasonably priced meal.

“Not the first time but certainly the last.”
Reviewed November 23, 2012

Weekend lunchtimes can be a bit "hit and miss" when it comes to eating out. Difficult to find a table and service can be stretched at best. We left it until after half 2 on the Sunday and picked Wagamama's because it was less than half full.

Quickly shown to our table the drinks' order was taken relatively quickly. We had to wait a while for the drinks to arrive, normally not a problem but I'd ordered a coffee and actually saw the drink waiting on the side for a full five minutes before the waitress bought them to our table.

The food order took a while to arrive and then only two of the three meals were served. The Pad Thai was good but my Teryaki chicken was warm at best. A full ten minutes later a waiter asked if we were waiting for any other food and having been informed that my wife's curry was still outstanding, he went to look for the order.

Five minutes later it arrived. Very tasty and served at the right temperature.

Service is key though and on a couple of occasions our designated waitress was either engrossed in conversation with customers who were clearly known to her or chatting to fellow staff as they had their own meals in the restaurant.

We had similar service the last time we went, about two years' ago and my wife always believes you should give someone a second chance. We've learnt our lesson, never again.
