Having been to the restaurant (which is now closed) at the Easton based Bed & Breakfast run by the same family on several occasions over the years, we decided to try out the Norwich based restaurant.
We were not disappointed, the food excellent, the service friendly and the atmosphere just what we wanted for a quiet intimate meal away from the normal hustle and bustle of a city centre based location.
will definately be returning..

We enjoyed a nice relaxed dinner at this lovely little French Creole cafe / brasserie tucked away in a small courtyard in the centre of Norwich. It is run by a family from St Lucia and the service was wonderful. The food was very tasty and there was plenty of choice on the menu. For anyone who is gluten intolerant there was a good choice of gluten free dishes.

Many years ago this restaurant was fantastic, fun and fabulous and now on its very welcome return to Orford Yard, Chez Denis does not disappoint. Once again the taste, flavours and atmosphere of the Caribbean are back. A little taste of paradise in the heart of the City.

We had dinner at Chez Denis last weekend and wouldn't hesitate to go back. Denis and his staff have the perfect mix of professionalism and friendliness and afterwards we felt as if we had had dinner with Denis at his house, as it was so personal and the restaurant small and intimate. The food was excellent too!

Visited for dinner on a Friday night. Had a bit of trouble finding it until we looked for Barclays Bank. The warm welcome and genuine friendliness of Denis really helped make this a memorable meal. Food was fab. My wife is a veggie and she was very happy with the deep fried Brie and plum sauce starter and the stuffed aubergine farci for main. I had the chicken livers to start and crayfish tails with 22 ingredients sauce. The steamed veg served with the main course were remarkably good - very simple: carrot and broccoli but the quality was top notch. We finished with orange Carib, which was perfect: light with fabulous flavours. We had quite a discussion about his sauces and Denis gave us a taste of his home made liqueur with mystery ingredients! Bill with wine and the great rum punch was £85 for two. Highly recommended - great menu.
