“Quiet Location and Friendly Staff”
Reviewed December 28, 2013

Very quiet and secluded, close to Gunton Hall and easily accessed from A140. Very warm and friendly reception from the staff. The reception area has a small shop for everyday needs. Pitches are a good size with access to electric and TV (akthough we got 100+ digital channels with our motorhome arial anyway. Free Wi-Fi which is very good as most UK campsites charge. Some nice walks in the area, but do not walk on the A140 or take care as it is very busy and no footpath. Good facilities including showers, toilets and washing up etc. Very good for dogs.

My boyfriend and I had a fantastic stay at Deer's glade! Great campsite with lovely staff, brilliant facilities and wonderful location! lots of lovely little touches that make for a great stay! The resident goats and sheep are a super idea for kids and adults alike! Our first stay here but most certainly not our last!

We loved our stay at Deer's Glade, we stayed in a basic pod, which requires you to take everything with you - including bedding, blow up mattress, cooking equipment and chairs. Within the basic pod is a plug socket, a small flat screen TV, a small heater and a light on the wall. The beauty of Glamping is that you have the out door lifestyle without the basic-ness of camping! There is an onsite shop which is handy if you have forgotten anything.

I loved having our own area of outside space, with your own picnic bench, chiminea & BBQ area. We spent much of our time outside; everywhere was clean and well maintained,

My only criticism of the glamping pod site was the queue for the bathrooms on a morning, you had to hover outside them until someone came out otherwise you were in for a long wait! Failing that you could walk over to the main camp site and use their facilities.

We would definitely visit again and recommend it to others, however I think I would try a mega pod next time!

We have just spent a week at Deer's Glade with 3 other families and had a great time this is our 3rd visit and we are never disappointed. The facilities are always clean, the site itself is always well maintained. The Reception staff are always so pleasant considering the hours they put in.
The Kennel service they provide is a fantastic service so handy if your going out for the day which isn't so dog friendly.
See you in 2014. Keep it up Deers Glade xx

As a seasoned camper , this is the best I've been to yet ... Upon arrival the staff where very nice and cheerful .we where shown to our plot which was spacious and segregated with chest height bushes to make it feel more private ( but there are plots without bushes and are more open ) . The sites is very clean and tidy, and has very impressive toilets and shower block on our half of the site.
The site has a large park which Includes shaded seating area for adults to watch over the young ones and also a goat pen . Deerglade also has a fishing pond which has around 10 pegs . The site offers wooden pods which are set away from main site in the woods .
You can hire firepit at £50 deposit ( refundable ) and £3 a day , logs can be purchessed at £4 a bag from the site which are great for those toasted marshmallow moments . Every Saturday during high season they do roast hog which costs £3.50 for adults £2.50 for children .
Overall you can see this site caters for caravans and campers with or without electric hook up and although the site was full, it does not seam full

We spent a relaxed five nights on Muntjac meadow. The site is open and you can pitch wherever you like as long as you are at least five meters away from other groups. The shower and toilet facilities are good, they are cleaned daily and although busy the facilities were adequate for the number of people staying at the site. The shower cubicles are a good size making it bearable to shower small children without too much stress! The evenings are extra special as the campsite staff bring logs and start a campfire for the whole site to enjoy, it is a lovely way to end the day. The site was not too noisy, it was always quiet past eleven and people started to move about at about half six to seven in the morning. Although we didn't bring a dog, the site was well equipped for dog owners with a large run, all of the dogs on the site were well behaved and the owners responsible.
The local area is full of great family days out, can't go wrong!
