“Excellent place to stay in Norwich”
Reviewed August 3, 2013

We stayed here for 4 nights and were delighted with our choice. The rooms have everything you need and are very comfortable. It's very clean and if you don't want to stay in your room on an evening you can watch TV or read in the lounge. There is also a lovely liitle garden at the rear to sit out and have a drink in the sun. Ian ensures a really high standard of cleanliness and is one of the most charming and attentive bed and breakfast owners we have come across. Breakfast is tasty, niceley presented and very generous in portion size - we never ate lunch, we were always too full from breakfast. The location is perfect in that you can walk into Norwich in about 30 mins, but the bus stops just around the corner if you wish to ride in . Visitors arriving by car have to park in the road, but it's a quiet road and we never had any problem parking. I would have no hesitation in recommending the B&B to anybody wishing to stay in Norwich. It is a vegetarian establishment and Ian will be delighted to know that we enjoyed the experience so much we have decided that in future we will have at least one day in our household designated as meat free - meat free Mondays - cannot think of many other B&B's that have resulted in us changing our lifestyle. Next time we are Norwich we will definitely be returning.

Room Tip: There are just two rooms. One room is ensuite whilst the other has a bathroom adjacent to it. If yo...

Thank you Jeff for writing such a detailed and positive review. It is always nice to have fellow Bradfordians staying. I am particularly impressed by your new meat free Mondays and look forward to hearing that you and Chris feel good on an increasingly vegetarian diet.
I hope to see you again.

Thank you Anne for taking the time to write such a positive review, you make a good point about the parking as Grange road is outside the permit zone.
I hope to see you both again.

We stayed here for two nights just recently and couldn't fault it. The room was clean and well maintained, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was also clean and well equipped.
We really enjoyed the breakfasts, which were tasty and made with good quality ingredients. The whole place is tastefully decorated and Ian is so welcoming and kind. We had to have the bedroom window open because of the heat but there was no noise from the neighbourhood. Highly recommended and we will look forward to staying here again on our next trip to Norwich.

Thank you Dennis and Trudy for your excellent review, it is a long way from Somerset so I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay! Grange road usually is amazingly quiet for a city street.
Best wishes

Ian runs an excellent little B&B close to the center of Norwich. It is quiet, easy to get to, and well located. I stayed 2 nights in a very comfortable room with a modern bathroom - all squeaky clean and well presented. Trust the other reviews - Ian makes a fantastic breakfast! whilst I didn't tick all the boxes, breakfast both mornings was a treat. Ian has an eclectic collection of artwork, a beautiful haven of a back garden, and is a gracious, accommodating, and interesting host. Don't miss this one! I will certainly go back when next inNorwich.

A tastefully furnished, very comfortable place in a quiet street. Once you have climbed the rather steep stairs to the first floor, you are rewarded with a very pleasant room + bathroom, a very comfortable bed, tea-making facilties....
The real treat, however, in addition to the welcoming atmosphere, is the excellent breakfast. Ian Rycroft radically redefines the concept of a cooked breakfast and offers creative alternatives as well as vegetarian versions of a traditional English breakfast.
And of course there is a wonderfully unknotting massage to be had, another real treat after a long drive - appointments can be arranged at short notice.
Highly recommeded!

Hello Brigitte, I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at number 15, it must have been interesting staying in a b&b in the house that you once lived in. Thank you for your kind comments.
I hope to see you again

Just returned form a 4 night stay at No Fifteen. We booked both rooms and they were both clean and the beds very comfortable. The home made biscuits and variety of teas available were very welcome. The back bedroom does not have an en-suite but the bath room is next door and we had sole use of this. Ian also provides bath robes.

No Fifteen is in a very quiet road but very handy for buses into town (which run every 15 minutes).

Ian was very welcoming and friendly and provided plenty of information on the local area.

Breakfasts were very good and filled us up for most of the day.

Definitely recommended.

Room Tip: Front room has an en-suite, the other a separate bathroom. Both rooms are very quiet

A bit late to post this review but here goes anyway. What a find. Nothing was too much trouble I was here for two nights to attend a friends wedding in October 2012 Breakfasts. were great and i suspect no problem for vegans the place was so easy to get to from the city. I came via train. & used the local bus service to get about the city Ian even gave me a lift into town. .... There's service for you.

Room Tip: No problem with front bedroom ....one
