Taking a trip across the river Tees is a unique experience using this bridge. It does not take long and is something you can not do anywhere else in England. There is a charge for the crossing, either by car or per person if walking. There is a small museum at the Middlesbrough side of the bridge giving all the statistics. The bridge is used throughout the week but depends on the weather. You used to be able to walk right across the top but this has been stopped. However they do organise bungie jumps from the top for charity on a weekend.
