I have had some good meals and some dissapointing meals here, but last night we were disappointed. It was a midweek but still quite busy because of the cinema and town hall. Considering its supposed to be a french restaurant, it was a bit wierd that there was 70s disco songs playing. The service started off ok, but soon deteriorated as the place got busier. We were served different glasses to the type of beer we ordered each time, at one point we were drinking peroni out of a jacques glass?! Food was served promptly and was very nice, but the pasta portions were quite small.
The waitress did not seem to have a clue about anything she should be doing, getting ordered wrong, flippants brushing off mistakes and laughing, quite scary that we were paying for this service. the conversation went like "W: Are you having carbonara?...Us: No, W: Are you having spaghetti then?....Us: No. W:Well what are you having cos i need to give someone a fork and spoon."
Once we'd finished our mains, we did ask to see the desert menu but they forgot, they were also very slow getting us the bill ro more drinks. A shame really.
