“The Perfect Wedding Venue”
Reviewed October 4, 2013

Our Daughter was married at Whinstone View in August 2013 the day was PERFECT. Andrea and all staff were proffesional, friendly and so helpful in every aspect, before the wedding as well as on the day. All the staff made all guests feel like one big family, the atmosphere was so relaxed yet still proffesional. We stayed in all the lodges on the wedding night which I can only describe as awesome the lodges are beautifully decorated, comfortable and a wonderful idea as all guests enjoyed breakfast together the following morning. If you intend to get married this has to be your first place to look at. The day will be remembered by everyone who attended.

My wife and I got married here on 1st August. We had an amazing day and can't thank the staff enough for their hospitality, friendliness and organisation. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff went the extra mile for us. The whole process of booking and planning this wedding was as painless as could possibly be due to the efforts and professionalism of Andrea, the wedding co-ordinator. I can't stress how much value for money you get here, especially if you pick the vintage package as we did.
If you are thinking of having a wedding here our advice is: DO IT!

Firstly the most massive massive thankyou to all the staff at Whinstone View, especially Andrea, the wedding co-ordinator. We had the most amazing day. Everyone I’ve spoke to have said it was the best wedding they’ve been to and I think that was certainly because of the relaxed atmosphere and informality of everything up there which is exactly what we wanted. I know the team were working flat out but I honestly hardly noticed they were there, everything was so efficient. And everyone I spoke to has mentioned individual staff members including Andrea and Michael who all helped them in some way.

I enjoyed every part of the day from staying over the night before in the fabulous Blue Lodge and having a fab meal in the Bistro, to getting my wedding makeup done at Spa Vista Morada, the marquee was perfect, the food (dessert table and hog roast definitely recommended), the lodges….everything was perfect and a lot of that is because of the staff there and there thoughtfulness and ability to go the extra mile, they all helped make our day exactly what we wanted, amazing !!

We had our wedding at Whinstone View in August this year, and it was the best day of our lives. When we got engaged, we both wanted somewhere a little different from the usual local hotels, and when we went to Whinstone View for tea one night, we found our wedding venue.

From the outset, the staff at Whinstone were fantastic, even opening up the marquee for us to have a look at after our meal, without making an appointment.

We then met with Andrea, who understood totally what we wanted for our wedding day, and she guided us through the whole process, advising us on seating, the schedule of the day, everything.

Whinstone were very accomodating, even allowing us to hire in different chairs to go with our theme, and the staff were there to help.

On our wedding day, Andrea and her staff could not have done more for us. Everything was perfect. The meal was superb, and many of our guests commented on how hot and fresh the meals were.

Special thanks to Michael, who waited on me and my husband all night, bringing us drinks and checking that everything was ok.

We stayed in the Lodges on site on our wedding night, and again, these were brilliant.

All in all, a brilliant day, was made extra special by the care and attention that all the staff gave us, Thanks!!

We've stayed in the lodges now about 5-6 times and each time has been excellent, the food in the bistro is really something special, but only a little time is usually spent there as we always rush back to the lodge for the hottub!!

We also recently got married here at the end of June, and everything went great, Andrea (wedding planner) was excellent and helped us no end in meeting our budget. The day went without a hitch (apart from our poorly little girl), the setting and ceremony area are picture perfect and we couldn't recommend more.

The price was very competitive and worked out cheaper (if only a little, once the extra guests were added) than the other high end venues in the area, we also came back, a few days after, for a few days with a massage for our pre-honeymoon.

Feel free to view a little montage of our wedding to give you an idea of the day...

My wife and I got married here in August 2013. From the first meeting with Andrea we knew this was the place for us! The entire staff, location, attention to detail and the way the wedding party and all of our guests were treated was nothing short of outstanding...we wish we could do it all again! The majority of guests, if not all, commented on the quality of the food and the level of service. Andrea on the day made everything run so smoothly & we could not have been happier with how the day went! As for the lodges with hot tubs...wow! The staff even bought us our first drink as a married couple (thanks Mike!)! We can not recommend Whinstone View, Andrea and the staff highly enough! Simply fantastic! We will be back for our 1st anniversary! Chris & Dawn Smith.

Having held our wedding here in April earlier this year, it was the most perfect day. I know all brides and grooms say this but ours was made because of the setting Whinstone View provided. I originally wanted a blank canvas so I could put our own touch on things, and from the moment we meet with Andrea and saw the beautiful setting that Whinstone View sets, it made our minds up. We decided on the vintage package and from the get go Andrea was amazing at bouncing ideas off. The venue where excellent and open to accommodating all my ideas, with them even helping us hang lampshades from the Marque.
On the day of our wedding I felt everything about the day was made because of all our efforts and because of how much care the staff and owners put into the day. They closed the venue for us as a surprise on the day, which was a lovely surprise. The food was delicious, the vintage tea party went down a treat with our guess and the tables where left clear. On the evening we had fish and chips, again all our guess's raved about these from young to the elder generation. Throughout the day all staff where very attentive, Andrea and Dawn where everything we wanted and needed to make sure the day was a success. I felt the way that it moved from day to evening was effortless, no guest had to leave the marque, we didn't even notice extra chairs or table getting provided.
Myself my husband and both our family's loved Whinstone View. We all stayed in the lodges on the night and for breakfast the next day giving a perfect ending to our special day.
If you are looking to book your wedding I would suggest to host it here, everything about it from setting to venue to staff to the food and drink where all we ever wanted. Thank you to Andrea and team for making that possible.
