“Fabulous setting for a wedding”
Reviewed August 27, 2012

We were invited to a wedding of a close family friend in this beautiful hidden away setting. The staff were very attentive and the food superb. The only thing that could be improved are the temporary toilets which whilst very clean did not disguise the smell. Would be really worthwhile in installing permanent plumbed in toilets. That said it did not spoil the overal day;

Whinstone View is a fabulous place. The food is fantastic and reasonably priced, the Spa is so peaceful and tranquil, and the lodges are just so modern and comfotable they are amazing.
I came for my grandfathers birthday and the service was perfect. The food was cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly and professional.
We stayed in the lodges which are beautiful, and the hot tub, WOW! Also had a few spa treatments, i would definitely recommend a massage and a body polish! My skin has never felt so good!
Everything about Whinstone is perfect, The reviews which state negative things, i think they had their eyes closed the whole experience and probably these who look for the bad instead of the good! i would DEFINITELY recommend Whinstone!

Room Tip: I would definitely recommend Zoffony or Bazare!!

Repeated visits here. Its time to completely unwind and indulge and enjoy the hot tub. The staff are friendly helpful and there 247 if you need them. you have the benefits of being in a secluded area on the outskirts of the village, which itself as good amenities, shops, walks and pubs. I have booked my return visit already

This is a 5 star wedding venue experience. We had our wedding here on the 28th July 2012 and we can't recommend it highly enough. This venue is perfect for the unpredictability of the british weather. The inside/outside feel of the beautifully tendered summer gardens are fantastic for guests allowing cover for showers but still with the freedom of being outside. The setting and staff were harmonious in their collaboration, they really know how to 'do' weddings here.

In the planning, no ideas were too far fetched to allow for creativity and personal touches in the wedding decor for the marquee on the big day. I was so pleased to be able to share ideas and to see them come together in the venue. Whinstone View were so accommodating in this way.

We chose a complex (for a wedding) menu giving our 90 guests 4 menu choices and the food all came out hot and was delicious. Even some of the guests, who are chefs commented on the quality of the food. The staff were excellent, never too far away and never in your face. The bar in the marquee also allowed the party to stay together in the evening.

As a bride I was really looked after, always a drink in hand and guided gently throughout the day rather than pressured or pushed. Being in the lodges gave our photographer excellent opportunities to capture the girls getting ready in an unusual and luxurious setting.

We had all the lodges for the night of our wedding and everyone was impressed with the high standard of the stylish accommodation, the beds were probably the comfiest I have ever slept in if I could have taken one home, I would. The hot tubs were great for an end of a wedding day wind down as well.

All in they made a perfect day for me and my husband and i would recommend it to anyone. This venue is the perfect choice for any couple looking for something a little different. If you book here you will have so many wonderful touches to remember from your day.

Absolutely great experience. Made us want to go home and build a wooden lodge. Really luxurious and the flood lit hot tub is just magical. We've stayed twice once in the Zoffany (the other I can't recall). Everything about it is great, the wet room, the bed, pillows, soft furnishings, quality of the electricals and the lighting is just fantastic. First time round, the outdoor area wasn't as private as we would have liked, but on our second visit they had addressed this. We ate in the restaurant both nights, which seemed popular and the food was good. We also had a massage at the on site beauty rooms, which was pleasant, but as I'd booked a couples massage, I thought we would have it together, but the treatment rooms/ place is quite small so they were done separately, still nice though. The only thing I would say is the location is a bit isolated, great if all you want to do is relax. Lodge rate quite pricey, but worth it

My wife had arranged for us to stay for one night as a Fathers Day/Birthday/Anniversary treat, and how pleased was I. We arrived just after 3pm, greeted by a cheery lady on reception who checked us in and then walked us to our lodge 'Roma'

We were given a tour of the lodge and a full explanation of how to use the hot tub!

Nice touches include the lighting and media thats on and playing as you arrive, and then the Little duck which is for you take away. The fridge was nicely chilled and we took advantage of it to store our goodies!

The whole lodge was clean and well maintained. The only comment regarding the lodge would be the leads hanging out of the back of the tv could be hidden more.

I as short walk took us to the Bistro for Dinner, then Menu, simple and varied certainly wets the appetite! We can recommend the Fish Platter to share, the lamb Tangine and the Burger!

The House Champagne helped to wash it down!

A great nights sleep in a very peaceful place, then woke in time for breakfast, again served at the Bistro...again faultless and very tasty!

After breakfast we visited the Spa, a cute little place and greeted by smily and enthusiastic Staff.

We were lucky to get an appointment (facials) as they are super busy! So if you are planning a visit, you may be best to book before you arrive!

Would we stay again...Of course and cant wait to go back!

Room Tip: They are all unique to is difficult to say! ROMA certainly was great for us.

What can I say other than - simply perfection.

We had a fantastic stay and everything was amazing. The lodge/accommodation was beautiful. The food in the restaurant was divine. The staff were very attentive and friendly.

Cannot complain about anything.

10 out of 10.

Room Tip: We stayed in the purple lodge - cannot remember the name.
