We really enjoyed our stay at this flat. It really is in a great location but more about that later.
The flat itself is very clean, no odors (if you are sensitive to that kind of thing like my wife is) and is in a very quiet region of an area that has a lot to offer. The two bedrooms are of ample size, one room had a queen size bed, the other a full (I think). There is adequate closet and drawer space. The kitchen is nicely appointed in case you wanted to save some money and cook on your own; on several occasions we ate on the balcony which is located just off the den (very nice). The den has a large screen TV and a vast collection of DVD’s. There is a clothes washer in the kitchen; the bathroom has a drying rack and this wonderful large, heated towel rack. We were able to wash and dry our clothes (we were a party of three) with no problems. The bathroom itself is very modern and nicely done. The flat is on the second floor but there is an elevator available.
The location of the flat is in the Shad Thames area which is a wonderfully restored region of London just south of the Thames adjacent to the Tower Bridge. The old warehouses that line this region now house numerous pubs, cafés and shops, and they are right around the corner from the flat. The London Bridge and Tower Hill underground stations are less than a 10 minute walk away allowing you to access most of London via underground rail. There are several grocery stores nearby and a wonderful corner store literally across the street from the flat. The little corner store has quite a comprehensive selection and has just about anything that you would need, even for making a nice lunch or dinner; it was quite handy.
Our host, Sam, was delightful to deal with. She was responsive to our inquiries and provided us with extensive information about the area.
We had a wonderful time in London and our time at the flat played a significant role in that. Should we return to London, we would definitely stay here again.
