“Lovely”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

The staff were friendly and helpful and the food delicious. It proved a good choice. Peppers Padron as openers, grilled quail as starter and the excellent pork for main course made it memorable for all the right reasons!

“The shining star of Shoreditch”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

It's been around for a decade, but it remains unchallenged as the best place to eat in Shoreditch. The menu has been revamped and so you can graze across any combination of tapas, starters and mains. Some of the dishes that were previously advance order only (like the cataplana of pork and clams) are now on the regular menu. Read my full review here: http://tmblr.co/Zw5uiwVGvOEY

“Superb hidden gem”
Reviewed October 2, 2012 via mobile

Best restaurant in shoreditch, especially if you're tired of whatever place is deemed to be hip this month. Top notch Iberian food. The pork is the house speciality and it is outstanding. So smooth and so well seasoned that you're left wondering whether it really is pork or just some wonderful meat you've never had before. The foie gras starter was also excellent. Nice sophisticated buzz on a Friday night it the place and attentive, knowledgeable staff. A little on the pricey side perhaps, but not unjustifiably so. Will be back.

“Food was good, but totally overshadowed by awful service”
Reviewed September 25, 2012

Popped in here for early mid week tapas and wine and from the start of the evening our waiter was incredibly rude to use; we had to ask him if we could order drinks and then he would not take our food order.

The evening went down hill from there, abrupt / aggressive responses, we tried to joke with him but to no avail. We complained quietly to the Maitre D' who then spoke to the waiter and then joked and back slapped with him all evening, the Maitre D' now being surly with us.

All we could surmise was that as 2 women in a restaurant full of city men in suits we weren't welcome. A real shame our experience was so awful as the food was not bad at all.

“Dinner with friends”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

We visited Eyre Brothers for dinner on the 20th September and enjoyed another fantastic meal. We started with a selection of starters including Jamon Iberico bellota, Pimientos de Padron, Crisp Fried Courgette with garlic, lemon, mint and chilli , Roast Catalan Morcilla blood sausage with Avila butter beans. This was washed down with a couple of bottles of Vino Verde recommended by the barman. After an hour break (we were pretty full!) we then embarked on a pork fest including the grilled fillet of Acorn fed Iberico Pig and the Cataplana de Porco Alentejano with a side of fried potatoes and another bottle of vino to complement the food. Service was excellent with 3 waitresses attending to our every need but not imposing or rushing us. After 3 hours of very fine dining we left praising the whole experience. We will certainly be back in a few weeks!
