Visited this restaurant with two friends had the group menu. Food was ok. Waitress was very quiet could barely hear her over the loud restaurant, we had to ask for part of our starter to be bought over and were given desserts menus when we had asked for the bill. When we came to pay our bill the discretionary service charge of 12.5% was added to our bill we chose to pay a different amount to this on our cards. We were told by the waitress we had not paid the full bill to which we pointed out the word discretionary. As we put our coats on etc and went to leave the manager came over to our table and told us we were short on our bill and had not paid it all. Again we pointed out we had met the bill and paid a service charge of our choice. We were made to feel in the wrong and very unwelcome. A service charge should always be discretionary we should have been made to feel like criminals on leaving the restaurant for simply not paying the full service charge. The manager should instead be asking how to improve their service if there is such a concern!

We stumbled upon this restaurant whilst looking for somewhere to eat on our arrival in London. They had a offer board outside the restaurant which said 2 courses for 9.95 so we thought we would give it a go on the off chance, as it was very busy they were able to find us a table immediately in the downstairs section which was again packed. We ordered the hummus and the feta salad as starters and were given complimentary bread, for mains we ordered lamb shish and the chicken dish both came with a flavoursome cous cous. We had 2 beers and a large bottle of water and the bill was £33 fantastic for London. Will use again when staying in the area

We arrived at 6pm and were seated and served very efficiently, the starters were excellent and the house wine of good quality.I ordered the Tas special of lamb but struggled to find it under 2 new potatoes.
The lamb was the toughest I have ever tried to eat and was not pleased with the quality or the portion served and the quantity for 12 pounds was poor to say the least

I regularly use Tas as a lunchtime treat, so I confess to being a fan. Saturday night was my first visit to the restaurant however. We were immediately seated and menus supplied ( I hate waiting 10 mins for a menu) there was a acoustic guitar playing live but as background music not interfering with conversion. Food was excellent as ever and a small portion of olives bread and hummus are complimentary. Meal arrived promplty and was tasty as ever. Service also superb.
