Exceptional value for money for a place to stay in London. When booking we thought we were getting a twin and a double bed apartment but this didn't happen, we got two double beds! I queried this at reception and they said they DON'T do twin beds despite booking agent saying otherwise. However it was only for one night so the girls had to share a bed. Two minutes from tube station and plenty of restaurants to choose from. Take your own milk, tea, coffee. I would most certainly stay in these apartments again.

The club room very small and loud. My guess is the pictures on the site show the only one big room they may actually have. I had decided to spend more money to stay here as I wanted to make my business trip a little holiday at the same time. I had to request for the toilet to be cleaned due to a foul smell. This did not happen!

These apartments are by no means executive.

It is more like a hostel and the images on the website are not a true representation of this property.

The apartments are very basic and not clean:

4 x TV channels only ( no bbc1!)

Wired Internet access only in apartments

Grout on tiles in shower filthy

Mattress, duvet and pillows full of stains

Staff on reception not interested

Overall this is more like a basic hostel apart from the fact they charge 4 star prices!

Looks great on the internet - but so did my ex-wife.
Its an absolute disgrace. Filthy, scruffy, run down and nothing like the pictures. Ive seen cleaner mattresses in a skip and the bed, together with the rest of the furniture is just cheap n nasty flat pack crap. basement flat looks out onto a tiny dark courtyard - along with every other basement room. daylight is about 6 floors above you, still, its handy for the pigeons to crap into.
We stayed just long enough to view the room and got the money back through credit card cahrgeback.

Room Tip: book elsewhere

This was the second time we've stayed here in the last three years. On our first stay, the property had been recently renovated and our third floor studio apartment was spacious and well appointed, light, though a little airless as the window had a security latch and opened only partially. This year we were placed in the basement. Rooms are arranged around small internal courtyards which limit privacy and amplify noise. Not good if your neighbours decide to dry their hair at 3 a.m. and then have a shouted conversation over the top of the hair dryer!

The Good: the location is excellent, the rooms we've had have matched the pictures on the website, the bed, bathroom and kitchenette were fine, the room was serviced twice a week, the staff were very helpful, you can have mail / deliveries dropped at reception, the wifi in the lobby is decent, there's a coin-operated laundry and the price is competitive for London.

The Bad: It sprawls - as the address 8-18 suggests. It can take you five minutes of walking up/down stairs and corridors to get to or from the entrance at reception. You could wait for the lift, but that can take a while too. We were charged an extra 15 pounds per night for a roll-away bed for our daughter; a bit steep when we're paying 100 pounds plus for a studio.

The Ugly: The basement levels is a maze of corridors, courtyards and fire doors. No signage and vague fire escape signs. The courtyards amplfy noise and if your neighbours are noisy, you'll be distirbed. the neighbourhood, especially the hostel next door has a few dodgy types hanging around, often sitting on the step drinking and smoking - usually spliffs!

Overall, given the location and the price, I'd still recommend it, especially if you'll be out and about seeing and doing.

I'd recommnend stipulating any level except the basement! Also if you need internet, all the mobile providers offer cheap internet deals for mobiles/tablets/notebooks.

Room Tip: NOT the basement level!! Bring a hair dryer and save yourself the 20m pound deposit.
