Pros: has everything you need, clean rooms, bar and restaurant with good breakfast, service was spotty sometimes great sometimes clueless. Room had extras like an ironing board, free wifi, hairdryer, bathtub, was a good size and cookies with the tea and coffee.
Cons: 15 min walk in rain and wind to the tube is not fun. Dodgy area without any nice restaurants around. you are pretty much trapped here with costly taxis to the city centre or the bus.

Dear Cortecera,

Thank you very much for your kind words and we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay.I apologise that you did not feel that travelling to the Hotel was easy.

The RE London Shoreditch is accessable via a number of very good transport routes:

3 minute walk to Cambridge Heath Overground Rail Station (direct link to Liverpool Street)
10 Minute (max) walk to Bethnal Green Tube Station (Central Line to Statford or Central London)
26 and 48 Bus from Liverpool Street - ten minutes (drops you directly outside Hotel Front Door)
55 Bus from Old Street - ten minutes (drops you directly outside Hotel Front Door)

The local area has become very vibrant and fun with lots of quirky and trendy restaurants and bars available in Broadway Market (5 minute walk), Hoxton and Shoreditch (5 minute bus ride or ten minute walk) and also the famous Brick Lane if you prefer something hot and spicy.

We look forward to welcoming you back to The RE London Shoreditch on your next visit to London.

Kind Regards

We picked this hotel based on proximity to friends we were visiting in London and price...it was fairly inexpensive. From the beginning, reception staff was blase about anything...check-in took longer than average because two employees were discussing something personal. When we asked for a map of London, we were given a photocopy of the Shoreditch area alone. Nothing else. Then we turned around and right there in the lobby was a pile of maps of the city...what?? Did the staff not know they were there?? Our room keys were a huge issue...firstly, we had to go back to reception 3 times after checking in because the keys were not coded properly. The manager finally came back to our room with us to make sure we were "using the keys properly"...ok. He had to let us in with his master key and told us that sometimes it takes 10 minutes for them to work...huh? We had just arrived from Canada and were quite jet-lagged, so this did not make us happy. Every night thereafter (thank god we only stayed 3 nights) upon returning to our room, the keys didn't work! Over all, I would not stay here again, and definitely would not recommend it, unless cheap is all you are looking for,

Needed somewhere to stay for a work stopover in London was comfortable and convenient.

Had to wait quite a while for someone to check me in as 3 people were chatting.

Food was also quite tasty and the waiter and waitress was helpful and friendly.

We were not impressed with the hotel. The mattresses had springs poking your back. The walls were so thin we actually heard a man lift the toilet seat, urinate, flush and put the seat down. Not something you care to hear!! We heard police sirens all night long. The staff was pleasant but didn't go out of the way to be friendly.

Room Tip: Choose a different hotel

Stayed for one night, room very confy, quality fittings, shower and bathroom very clean with good toiletries. Mini fridge in room and iron and iron board, complementry bottles of water and tea and coffee making facilities.
I di not use bar or have breakfast so cannot comment, but I did turn left along Jackney Road walked about 200m and had breakfast in a very nice cafe which was a lot cheaper.
I used the hotels car park wich is underground and very secure, a bit steep at £20 overnight.
A nice hotel and would def' stay again when in area.
