I went for the first time in 2006 and then 2009. Both great night, Last Saturday (July 13th) I was told the management had changed and it was clear. The music sounded like a mixtape from the early 90s, the cocktails were pure ice. At the end of the night, for some reason, a brawl occurred outside and three thugs/bouncers wanted to have a go at me. Good thing my friends were there to sort me out. I'd rather get waterboarded then even return to this mess. From a Brazilian.

Great live music, authentic Brazilian food & nice experience overall. It can be quite crowded sometimes and hot..But once you will see the beautiful Samba dancers and capoeira artists will make you forget about everything.Love to go there from time to time..it can be quite refreshing for the London Vibe.

This place is really is something - for all the wrong reasons.

Firstly, the special “queue jump” tickets are total fraud and fiction. These are purchased in advance for “events” such as Carnival and bank holidays. For a start, you are treated just the same as turning up on the night ! You are expected to queue up and wait on a “one in one out basis”. A total waste of time. They then pack the place out until you cannot move, in the name of profit and greed.

A girl named Barbara, who serves food in the foyer, has a very bad attitude and her face will sour you food before you even eat it. No please or thank you. Terrible. The girl named Aninha in the cloakroom is of equally bad temperament. No hello, please or thank you. Some of the staff there are not happy here and this reflects in their attitude. They need to remember that when they grumble in Portuguese, many British people understand what‘s said. Me being one of them. Some bar staff are fine, but some try and short-change you.

The bouncers are sometimes very surly and will create a situation from nothing. On a particular night our party were pulled away by security who said were acting suspiciously, and hauled us before the General manager in the back room. They move the seats half way through the night, so if wonder around looking for a seat its deemed suspicious behaviour. Seats are moved for “safety”, yet they cram people in so tightly that they cannot move.

Having realised that there concerns were unfounded, having explained that there was no need to think this way, having no suspicious items or stolen goods, there was NO APOLOGY. The very, very, very, very arrogant general manager, (Tristian), who clearly fluked himself into the role, is a deeply, deeply unpleasant being. His staff actually offered an apology afterwards, where he didn’t, but by this time we were all ready to get our coats and leave - for good ! ! ! ! ! ! !

The music is ok, depending on the DJ, sometimes hit and miss playing rock and roll. I am not joking. Time and place surely ? ?

The “restaurant“ - laugh out loud - are a few tables on the edge of the dance floor, so those eating are jostled by the dancers.

We will never return there again. You have been warned.

What a fabulous night this place offers - good drinks (including happy hour from 5-8), great entertainment and hours of dancing to fabulous Brazilian music! The only reason i haven't given this excellent is due to the food not being brilliant, but that's easily forgotten when the entertainment starts! Definitely recommend this place!!
