This is where you go for more authentic Pakistani food, and not the watered down stuff you get in posh high street curry houses.

This isn't the cleanest or glamorous place by any means, and you're not paying for the atmosphere like you do in the other places.
There's no dress code, riff-raff more than welcome and there's been trouble almost every time I've been.
That's all irrelevant though, and people don't seem to care because you come for the food, not all the other baggage.

It's usually busy inside, but they always make room so you'll only wait a couple of minutes. Food comes quickly and they have a great menu.
Chicken tikka masala is the best here compared to other restaurants in the area. You can have a decent meal for 2 for £15 quite easily, so is very reasonably priced.

If you want a dirty curry (i mean that in a good way), with none of the dressed up extras, come here. There's so much more flavor, it'll blow the other "english" curry houses out of the water.

I've been coming here for years, and to be honest I've never ever left a tip cos the service isn't at all good. But that doesn't bother me, because the food is cheap, very tasty and it's byob.
Just grab your own menu, ask someone when you want to order, and don't expect michelin star service.

This is the one of the best curry houses I've ever been to, I normally order a dhaal spiced to taste (they add a few green chillies on request), and the lamb with okra or the chicken methi. the chilli naans are also very good. I've never had a bad dish.

There are also other good curry places nearby (mirch masala, and dosa n chutney) but this is the best in Tooting for me.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. A really busy place with people coming and going all the time. The food is what it's all about here, no frills or fancy trappings. If you like good authentic food you will enjoy it. The portions are certainly generous and the prices very reasonable.

This is quite simply the best S Asian restaurant in London, and I've eaten in many.

Six of us came for dinner - and we all agreed: it was outstanding.

Make sure you come with an appetite, and order the mixed grill. Heaven on a plate.

We have been going to Lahore Karahi for at least 10 years and last night was on different. Aim to get there by 7pm and you wont have to queue on a Saturday evening. Have eaten pretty much everything on the menu but our favorite is Methi Gosht - melt in the mouth lamb chunks in a sauce made with fenugreek leaves. The busy staff remember you and your preferences. Take your own alcohol keeps the prices down - and even so half of what your local high street restaurant will charge and much more authentic. You can say how hot you want your meal - unless you like things really spicy ask for 'medium'. Yes there is a microwave - only ever seen them heat up the rice/byriani to the required heat (you know rice must be HOT) - the counter has lots of dishes in it mostly for takeaway - all great - but all 'meat in sauce' dishes are cooked to order in the kitchen, - we have never had any problem with either. All delicious! Highly recommend.
