“An American Delight”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

Simple well cooked food.
Deep fried shrimp is amazing as is the Filet Mignon sourced in the UK.
They have a #9.95 menu before 5pm which includes a main and starter and drink which is crazy value.
I didn't fancy many of the wines as they are expensive so suggest cocktails and beer.

Never had shrimp like that before, really good birthday treat for my daughter.

Warm log cabin atmosphere and friendly staff.

“Fried in many ways”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

A busy afternoon after a Chelsea match. Expected a wait for our meal as it was so busy although an hour between starters and mains was disappointing

Cokes are served with loads of ice and fresh lime/lemon and around £3.00 each

Starter was a mixed platter of mostly fried stuff - could not identify calamari as it was just deep fried batter. Never had prawn crackers at an American theme bar - hmm. Cheap and lazy. Dips were ok, liked the blue cheese one

Main courses were Shrimp and Ribs - £15 without the cole slaw (ok) and fries (ok). Rib sauce nice and sweet and smoky. Ribs and Shrimp fried so much that they lost most of their flavour

Price for one mixed starter, 9 cokes and 3 mains with sides over £130 with 12.5% added. Then CC machine asked if I wanted to add gratuity. Had already done so and nearly took it off

Goodish atmos, staff good, music playing, lively place but let down by the deep fat frier being everywhere in the taste of the food

I have been here a few times and have been impressed all times the staff a friendly the food was great and plenty of it and our cocktails were juicy it's a great place to catch up with your mates or have a good nosh up, not good for people with young child as resturant gets busy and is noisy. Would eat there again and again

“Good food, long wait which could have been avoided, poor service and very loud for a conversation.”
Reviewed February 9, 2013 via mobile

We went in at 8.30 on a Friday night and got put on an hour long waiting list. We came back 45 minutes later only to wait to finally be seated at 10, though there were 5 cleared and ready tables for 2 just waiting to be filled. We finally got seated then waited ages for our mains which were delicious. The food is great, but all the waiting around kind of puts you off if you are eating at 10pm as it is. We had ribs with coleslaw and bean and fajitas. All excellent.

There is a live band downstairs who are amazing but very loud. A normal conversation is not possible without lip reading and voice raising. Not ideal for a date, but fine for mates meeting up I guess.
The service was quite poor and forgetful of our drinks order and generally slow.

Nice for the experience but wouldn't go back. I don't like feeling like I've been tricked and I did here. They make people wait so they buy more drinks and give the impression they're busier than they are, which they don't need to since there are plenty of people in!
