Description: Originally an oyster warehouse, Scott's has been serving up its legendary seafood since 1851. A conveniently short walk from Green Park and Bond Street tube stations, this Mayfair mainstay uses burgundy leather banquettes and subdued lighting to create an air of old-school elegance which reflects the restaurant's chic clientele. Designed by Martin Brudnizki and highlighted by the exquisite bar topped with onyx and finished in stingray skin, the revamped interior of Scott's still carries the 1960's glamour of yesteryear. Traditional fish and seafood dishes dominate the menu, although seasonal meat and game make an appearance. Atlantic Halibut, Dover Sole and Lobster have proven to be popular choices, and there is also a Roasted Shellfish platter for two to share. The famous oyster bar with its three-metre crustacean display offers a more relaxed dining area and there is also an art deco-style private dining room, ideal for canapé receptions, press launches and private celebrations.

“Good quality food and presentation but inattentive service initially”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 27, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

Had a very enjoyable meal in Scott's.
The fish was, as expected, very good.
The presentation of all the food was excellent.
However the wines were overpriced.

“Exceptional Seafood and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2014 via mobile

Sublime meal / drinks: delivered with style but no fuss.

Nothing at all I could identify to change, love the ambience created / managed with discreet sound deadening above the big tables (smart).

All the seafood was wonderful fresh and simply presented.

Rib eye good too, well cooked, melted in the mouth.

Side Green Veg. Perfect.

Desserts decent portions and generated smiles all round.

One of my favorite London restaurants.

Not cheap but value for money overall.

“Special attention to detail”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2014 via mobile

This was our first visit to Scott's and was down to pure luck and fate. Due to our prior plans being cancelled, we called Scott's at 6pm for a reservation and surprisingly managed to book an 8pm table for two that same day. Most other establishments we rang had been fully committed for dinner.

Started off with a seafood tempura to share, the harissa aioli it was accompanied by was as fresh and delicious as the tempura itself. We both opted for the fish of the day, which happened to be my husbands all time favourite, lemon soul. He had chipped potatoes, whilst I had mashed. I personally preferred the mash, as it coupled with the lemon souls creamy texture perfectly.

We already had pre-booked plans for desserts and birthday cakes elsewhere with other family members, so we didn't order dessert. However when the staff got ear of the occasion, they did not let us leave till they presented my husband with a plate of truffles on the house. This attention and care to detail is why fine dining in Mayfair sets the bar high for London's eateries.

We will defiantly return, and have already recommended Scott's to family and friends.

Thank you to all the friendly and attentive staff that evening.

We enjoyed our meal- shellfish cocktail to be recommended. Great Ribeye steak. Buzzing atmosphere. Good wine list which was well priced.
