Description: Salt Yard is an award-winning bar and restaurant serving modern tapas inspired by the flavours & produce of Spain & Italy. The tapas are complemented by charcuterie and cheese boards and we have a wide selection of excellent wines and sherries. Flexibility is key to Salt Yard. Customers can enjoy a full spread of tapas: or come in simply for a glass of red wine and a plate of cheese, a coffee and a delicious pudding, or even just a perfect martini and a handful of Marcona almonds. Located in central London- a two minute walk from Goodge St tube station- we are perfectly placed for a business lunch, a pre-theatre meal or a night out with friends. The restaurant is also available for private hire.

This was my second tript to Salt Yard, the first time was for dinner and this second time was for lunch. Both have been very good. The restaurant is always full whether it is lunch or dinner which is always a good sign.

This time I went with a collegue and we sat up at the bar because all the tables were full - this was fine for us as we were only there for a light lunch.

The salt cod and the stuffed courgette flowers were both very good and not what you get in a standard spanish resturant. I would definately recommend this place for people who like tapas but would like to try some new dishes.

This was our second visit to Saltyard and I have to say was excellent and much improved. The food was tatier and better prepared. The patas bravad was properly cooked and very light. The special which was goat tageitlle was fantastic very tasty and the flowers with goats cheese in honey very yummy. Service was very good everything at the right time. We will defiantly be back clearly a place keen to improve and listen to customers.

I was walking past at lunch time, I had not intended to eat here but very glad I did. We were given a warm reception and were served swiftly but professionally. The food was very good not complicated but well executed. We had a mixture of fish, meat and vegetable dishes all were tasty, loved the courgette flowers, had this is many restaurants but they were perfect.

A wonderful selection of tapas - anchovies, peppers, Iberico ham, scallops and soft shell crab are highly recommended. The truffle macaroni cheese was surprisingly sumptuous and worth trying. Pork belly was juicy and fragrant. All this with a bottle of Spanish wine Albariño White 2011 - What a memorable meal!

I was kindly invited out for lunch by a friend to Salt Yard last week and had a superb lunch. The restaurant was packed and the smell of the food on arrival made me drool. The courgette flowers and the macaroni cheese which are meant to be the signature dishes were very good and the rioja was lovely. However, the food is slightly expensive as you need to buy several dishes to avoid going hungry and the staff could have been more attentive; we had to signal for a waiter as they had not checked on us to order food for about 20 minutes. Apart from that, I will definitely be going again!
