“Loved it - Only in England”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2013

Didn't realise you could go up. Fascinating watching the traffic. But also reading and looking at the old pictures etc explaining that the whole thing was moved in the late 1800's just to make the traffic easier. Can have a guided tour if you like.

“Historic landmark”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 5, 2013

Run and looked after by English Heritage. Interesting exhibition inside on the first and third floors.
Fascinating history, and amazing to see how they put up and removed the statues from the roof - up the inside no less. Not the usual type of historic building to visit, but actually worth seeing.

“Nice To See”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 14, 2013 via mobile

This monument is attractive during the day but is even prettier when it is lit up.
The exhibit on the 3rd floor is average as it outlines the early efforts of restorong historical buildings. I could have passed on this exhibit. The view on the balcony is also average.
Stay on the ground and have a good look and go to Apsley House instead where you can learn about the Duke of Wellington himself.

“Quite Interesting!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2013

I was going to walk past the Wellington Arch but I decided to go up in the arch. It was quite interesting and a good match with visiting Hyde Park. While you are checking out Wellington Arch...make sure you see the Duke of Wellington's house...Apsley House, which is right next door.

“Very Romanesque”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2013

In the style of the great Roman Generals, a triumphant arch clearly indicates the success that Wellington had and the impression he made on the British public. This needs to be considered as part of the trip of Wellington-related locations here (with the Statue and Apsley House at the same time).
