“An ANZAC surprise”
Reviewed December 26, 2012

Not only was the Arch a great monument, but the fact that the Australian and New Zealand memorials are also here was a wonderful surprise. Do yourself a favour - go see....it's free

“Good Quick Stop for Photo Op”
Reviewed November 7, 2012

Its about a 15 minute walk from Buckingham Palace, in a very congested traffic area. The Arch itself is very impressive and one can go up to the top. We on the other hand did not, but walked around the area and looked at the other monuments they had.

I would have loved to checked this place out at night as I bet the light around the area is impressive.

There are many angles to take pictures as well as monuments all over to look at and read. It was a fun place to be and not to crowded.

I would recommend this as a place between stops. If its out of your way I would probably just pass on this.

“A nice little surprise and view...”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Walking by the arch I wouldn't have thought that you could go to the top of it to have a look around, but you can! There is an elevator inside to take you up to a small museum and two balconies. The views aren't spectacular, but they are pretty. It's cheap and worth doing if you have 15-20 minutes to spare.

“Interesting monument”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

I would not go out of my way to see this. That said, It is beautiful with an impressive bronze sculpture on top. We entered with our London Pass and rode the elevator to the walkway below the sculpture. There is not much of a view. There were some exhibits on the interior having to do with the family who owned the nearby mansion. Didn't do much for us.

“Grand entrance to Hyde Park”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

Wellington Arch stands proudly at the entrance to Hyde Park. We have been told that one is able to visit the top of the monument, but we did not venture inside. Very grand structure indeed.
