“Genuine & authentic Chinese foods!”
Reviewed February 9, 2013

Do not expect this to be your typical Chinatown restaurant. It has a very down-to-earth, unpretentious atmosphere and unimpressive decor BUT the food is superbly cooked! The lady boss is extremely warm and friendly, always happy to recommend dishes. Portions are very generous and more than value for your money, in comparison to other Chinese restaurants in town. We were a group of 7, with one guest requesting gluten-free dishes and our needs were catered for, more than satisfactorily. The evening far exceeded our expectations and we left with extremely full stomachs and big smiles on our faces!

“Well it tastes better than it should”
Reviewed February 1, 2013 via mobile

Its chaotic, the tables are close together, the staff seem unorganised, shouting at each other. But om my, what great food.

We were a fussy party of our in a packed restaurant with 50% of th customer on this Friday night were Chinese.

We had the set meal or two of us and the others ordered what they wanted. Couple of beers and soft drinks no wine, and the final bill less than £100 for the four.

Soup starters, excellent, prawn crakers thuck and nice but big portions, spare ribs were ace, sweet and sour prawn balls were huge and very nice.

It goes on the entire meal was fantastic but the portions were too generous.

A great meal in a very well lit (not romantic) crowded environment, book if you want a table but specifically say away from the serving hatch, its too busy with the orders coming thick and fast from the dumb waiter (no that does not refer to the nice staff it is the way food comes up from the kitchen.

Toilets grubby, premises tired, but my guess is all the money goes into great food and a good chef.....

I will attempt to upload a few pics, apologies if it fails.

“Best kept secret”
Reviewed December 29, 2012

I have been going to this restaurant for years and it never fails to deliver excellent food. The emphasis here is on the food and not the decor which you would expect to be sumptious given the prices! However thr portions are huge and therefore it is good value for money.

“Wow!!!”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

4 of us went for dinner on Saturday night here. We went off the backing of other reviews on here, and weren't disappointed.
We were greeted by a very friendly lady who showed us to our table, and was very attentive throughout the service.
As we were ordering, she pointed out that we maybe ordering slightly more than we need as the portions are big, and she was right! Very generous portions indeed, and it was really nice of her letting us know, saving us a little bit of money.

The food was stunning. Hot, quick service, so so tasty.

It's so nice to find little gems like this. They are ones to note, and revisit next time you're in the area.

When we were about to leave, a lady came over, thanked us for coming, opened the door for us, and wished us a good night. It's top service from start to end, that makes the whole experience leaving you feeling valued, happy, and full :)
