Description: Angus Steakhouse is the original chain of steak restaurants based in central London's West End and has been serving both Londoners and visitors alike for over half a century. Indeed, today, you will still find many Angus Steakhouses in the centre of London, serving delicious food to all who walk through its doors. Angus Steakhouse has a long and proud heritage which stretches back to the 1960s when it could often be found in the Good Food Guide. Founded by Sir Reginald Eastwood, Angus Steakhouse aimed to deliver tender, quality steak and friendly, attentive service right from the start. And today, fifty years on, those values remain the same. With over 50 years of heritage serving premium quality steak, each Angus Steakhouse also offers a traditional menu including fish, chicken and a variety of vegetarian sides. And at Angus, we are committed to providing high quality food to London and its visitors for years to come. After 50 years, Angus Steakhouse has become a landmark in its own right. And we're still where it all began, set in the heart of London and offering excellent food. Angus Steakhouse restaurants are the perfect place for dining in the West End.

“Casual dinner”
Reviewed July 3, 2013 via mobile

Our experience was great. Early dinner with friends. Friendly welcomed and quickly seated. The waitress was professional and delivered a good service for a young friends that are having a good time. The starter we share a sea dish with a variety of prawns calamari squid and salmon. The main dish we went for rib eye and fillet with sweet potato chips. Really nice. Surprised that the steak came with green salad and tomato without we asking for.
Wine reasonable price. Not very variety of deserts, but I was completely full, so not important for me. The bill translated the good night.
Impressed with the flow of people always coming and going, very cool atmosphere.
Truly recommended and definitely coming back

“Best steak in years”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

The peppercorn steak I had was perfection. Tender fillet steak, perfectly cooked (rare) with a serious peppercorn coating, great chips and a treat; Sweet potato chips.

VERY convenient for Paddington station (top of the ramp) but surprisingly less than half full at 1pm Sunday.

“Not Cheap”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

This was a restaurant that I had not visited previously on my trips to London, so decided to give it a go, due to the apparent good reputation that these restaurants have. Sadly we were all disappointed, the staff looked miserable, and when asked questions about the menu, didn't seem interested in answering, when the food we ordered came, it was not well presented, was small in size portion wise, which did surprise us, and its extremely expensive, if your a steak lover, the Fillet was about £28 small in size, and Chips, Salads or anything else you wanted to order with it, were all at additional charges. Our overall impression was extremely disappointed and we will certainly not return.

“Aberdeen Steak House - Paddington Treated Badly”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

My wife and I walked in to this branch in Paddington and were told 3-4 minutes for a table. Fine, I thought.

We then watched and waited as 6 other groups behind us in the queue were lead to tables. After 15 minutes I asked the man in charge of table allocation "why are we still waiting?" he replied "They are bigger groups and we allocate the bigger groups first"

We walked out feeling that just because we were only 2 people we didn't warrant being seated and treated the same courtesy as bigger groups of 3, 4 or 5 people.... never again will I use this chain.

“Steak to die for”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

Dined in the Aberdeen Angus Steak House in Picadilly and would thoroughly recommend it. The restaurant is extremely busy as the food is so good, however they can always fit you in
