They do burgers well, but what would you expect from a place called gourmet burger kitchen. The prices are reasonable to slightly on the higher end for what you get. Service was friendly. Nice vibe in the evening.

Haven't been into my local GBK for a few weeks and last night was a nice surprise. The burger was well executed, meat tasted almost like home-made, but best of all was the new option to have char-grilled chicken as a beef option. This is still really a take-away, in that don't expect to sit in comfort, but as a relatively upmarket fast food place it does the job tastily and not overly expensive. Service is pleasant and friendly.

I've been to GBKs a number of times and the Putney one is no different. The burgers are decent but they're certainly not amazing. The burgers are pretty big, but the meat and buns are so high that you basically have to crush the whole thing down with your hand to fit it in your mouth and if you cut them in half they fall apart, which always irks me! The meat also tends to be underseasoned. Fries are good but they are extra, about £3. Add that onto the cost of your burger (£7-9) and a beer (£3.80 for a small bottle) and you've got a pretty expensive meal. You go up to the counter to order, like at fast food chains, so you're not paying for service either. You're better off going to a GBK if you've got a discount voucher: Google "gourmet burger kitchen voucher" and you'll find plenty.

The location is awful. 45 min wait for a burger to takeaway. 15 pounds for burger and chips. Might as well go to proper restaurant. No thanks.
