Description: At Masala Zone Covent Garden, we have a passion for making sure customers have an enjoyable time – delicious genuine Indian food, newly renovated exciting interiors and great staff. The restaurant is highly acclaimed. Evening Standard has rated us as one of London’s six best Indian restaurants, Zagat Restaurants Survey as London’s Most Popular Restaurant Group; Daily Telegraph as one of London’s best restaurants. We unusually combine a panoramic range of proper Indian food - pioneering street food, thalis (the balanced family platters), daily changing freshly made vegetables, flavourful grills, regional curries, biryanis. Our food is uniquely from the true sources of Indian food – the gourmet homes & street stalls across India’s regions.

We go to masala zone very often with friends. The service is always excellent and the ambience is relaxing and enjoyable.

The food is contemporary Indian and tastes authentic. For someone around the Covent Garden area this restaurant is definitely worth a visit!

Went here last night (Wednesday) on recommendation of a friend as he said it was "great, amazing".

After entering the cool and busy restaurant i was excited by the smells and look of the food coming out. I ordered the Fish Thali which was a mix of curry, rice and some veg which on the face of it looked very good.

Unfortunately, the taste didn't match the look and smell, the curry was average, tasted like it was mass produced / left to stand. Was disappointed, although not great it was worth the money but i suppose at £13 in central London you pay for what you get.

The service is friendly and the waiters are helpful and well informed - perfect for curry novices. This is the only Indian restaurant I visit now in London as the competition just doesn't come anywhere near it. The food is a million miles away from most mid-market restaurants - it's real food, well prepared and wholesome, with flavours to die for. The atmosphere is upbeat and modern, and casual - the sort of place that would suit most occasions and times of day.

Marsala zone in Covent garden is one of my favourite places - especially after shopping it is a calming escape close to the Opera house and away from the throng of Covent Garden. One of my favourites there is the Thali plates which is a real feast and the delicious kofu icecreams. THe interior is beautiful with Southern Indian puppets hanging down.

We went to the one in Earls Court, on a Saturday evening, had a reservation, but that wasn't really necessary. Almost full. Service ok, food ok, as spicy as the waiter had indicated, good enough, not too expensive for London, but not nearly as good as anything we ate in India!
