At this point the word is out on Barrafina. Out that you're going to have a spectacular meal, and out that you'd better get there before it opens if you want to avoid a potentially hellacious wait to get seated. So if you're in Soho and up for an early dinner or a spot of tapas in the evening, or if you're in no hurry at all and want to enjoy some good Spanish wine while waiting to be seated, do not hesitate. If you're looking for anything else - a quiet meal at a 'normal' dinner hour, a business dinner at which you'll get served quickly and get your bill on the double, etc. - think twice.
Every night there's a new selection of fresh, often uncommon seafood, and the staff know the menu and drink list inside and out as they both cook and serve from behind the bar. I've been four times and every one has been an utter delight.
