Description: Barrafina is an authentic Spanish tapas bar located in London's Soho. It serves a traditional but contemporary, regional a la carte menu and there is a daily blackboard of specials, created by Executive Head Chef, Barragan Mohacho. Barrafina operates a first come first serve queuing system, and does not take reservations for their 23 stools. However, part of the fun of dining there is eating little bites and sipping on something delicious while making the line. The kitchen is open and guests are close to all the action and drama while their food is prepared.

This is the best tapas bar in London by far. Great food and even better service. Get there early to avoid the queues. We ate as a four at the bar and were lucky to get seats straight away at 17:00. The food was simply fantastic.

I had heard that Barrafina was a great place to eat and I was not disappointed.
We arrived at 4.45pm on Saturday and joined the queue (Barrafina opens at 5.00)
We were not close enough to the front of the queue to get a place at the bar when the doors opened so we opted for one of the tables outside under the wall mounted heaters.
We were served drinks by our friendly, helpful waiter straight away but had to wait 35 minutes before our food order was taken. This gave us time to browse the good menu of tapas.
We had about 6 or 7 different tapas between the two of us and they were all very tasty.
With a bottle of wine our bill came to £96
A good choice to sit outside and enjoy the ambience, although three different people begging for money was three too many.

Great tapas and wine and a good atmosphere. If you haven't been, be prepared to arrive at opening time or you will have to queue. We tried a lot of dishes (9 or 10) and everything, without exception was excellent. Tried the Txacoli, Albariño and house Rioja and all were very good. Service was friendly, but a little disorganised. Would recommend.

We've been here several times before and always look forward to returning when in London. Simply the quality of the food, choice and service is excellent, it really is a favourite of mine. Yes, you have to queue but believe me it is worth waiting and would recommend sampling some of the excellent wines on offer whilst waiting. The specials are always great, varied and the staff take time to explain everything. This particular time, there was a rather large difficult group of dare I say tourists also in the queue and complaining about everything, the waitress showed patience beyond the call of duty and kept smiling despite all that was said to her. So I've raved about the food before, but this time wanted to highlight the service, you don't feel rushed and you are going to enjoy your meal so get in the queue and be polite!

Went to Barrafina as it had such great reviews, and even with my high expectations I was positively surprised. The tapas are actually the best tapas I have ever had, including when I have been in Madrid.

The food is prepared from top notch quality ingredients, and it is also prepared in front of you when you sit at the counter, so you get your food very freshly prepared. The sea food tapas are all must try's, but pretty much everything on the menu is great.

Now, this is not exactly a cheap venue, so plan on spending between £150 to £200 for two people.

Also, the queue is quite long, and slow moving, so if you arrive and the queue is past the door, then have a back up plan and go another time, unless you feel like waiting for two hours.

Also, it will be awkward if you arrive as a group of more than two, since chances are that the right seats won't free up for all of you to sit next to each other at the counter.

Recommended, and a must visit. It deserves it's very high tripadvisor ranking.
