Description: Barrafina is an authentic Spanish tapas bar located in London's Soho. It serves a traditional but contemporary, regional a la carte menu and there is a daily blackboard of specials, created by Executive Head Chef, Barragan Mohacho. Barrafina operates a first come first serve queuing system, and does not take reservations for their 23 stools. However, part of the fun of dining there is eating little bites and sipping on something delicious while making the line. The kitchen is open and guests are close to all the action and drama while their food is prepared.

“Recommended by the Spanish”

Be prepared to wait if you are coming during a normal eating time, no reservations, however even after waiting an hour, it is well worth it! TIP: Come early before 6:30 and hopefully you won't suffer being teased by the beautiful food. Though it does allow you to see the food and try something different especially seeing specials plated.
the food is always good, in the past six months I've dined at Barrafina, 4 times, and each time the food has been fantastic, worth every penny, the same friendly staff everytime, great atmosphere, if you're lucky enough to get a seat in front of the chef, you will get mesmerised by the staffs art to work around each other in such a tiny working space.
On one of my dining experiences the Barrafina team joining forces with a Japanese neighbouring chef, making for a foodies delight of wonderful flavour combos. Keep you're eyes peeled for these special occasions.
Cannot recommend BARRAFINA enough, love this place!

“Great find in London”
Reviewed December 15, 2013 via mobile

Small plates and great wine makes this a delicious find in London. They do not take reservations and the line forms quickly but the wait is worth it. Fresh ingredients, combined into a wonderful variety also means that the menu changes so each visit provides new experiences. We tried two of the specials, both were flavorful including the squid ink risotto. Sitting at the bar watching the kitchen work adds to the ambiance of the place.

“Great pre theatre treat”
Reviewed December 13, 2013

We went there on a Friday getting there early (before 5) is a must. The bar only has 24 seats and fills very quickly. Prices range from £6 -£30 depending on what you want but the food is filling and very very tasty. I would definitely visit there again.

“Best spanish in London or ever”
Reviewed December 12, 2013

I can't say i am expert in spanish food, but this place has won a lot of my friends hearts as well. They use very fresh ingredients and the test is sooo yummy. If you are a foodie, you definitely need to check this one out, however they don't do booking, so you might have to queue, the secret is to go there really early, or just queue a little with a glass or bottle of light spanish wine, ask waiter to recommend. Best dishes are quail, tiger prawn, fried squids, tortilla, blue cheese steak! The price tag is not cheap though, probably average 60£ per person with a glass of wine.
