“Very disappointed”
Reviewed July 18, 2012

Took my parents here when they visited Clapham thinking it would be great. Unfortunately we had to wait for ages to get a table (ok we didnt book) then we were offered a table in the other half of the restaurant where no one else was seated and it seemed to be a storing area for excess chairs. We decided to wait a bit longer to get a table in the real part of the restaurant so when we finally were seated and ordered our food it was really disappointing that that part was also below average. The seafood sharing board was chucked together and very bland, the steaks for main were very fatty and the chips were extremely oily. We ordered some sides that only arrived after the meal was finished. When the bill came these sides were still on there even though they were returned to the kitchen untouched!! The manager agreed to remove them from the bill but all in all, it was a very disappointing meal start to finish unfortunately. Shame, it's a great location and very French look but the food and service lets it down.

“Great food”
Reviewed March 27, 2012 via mobile

The food here is consistently good. Agreed that the service is not always the best - but it's not bad and the food more than makes up for it. Recommend it as an authentic French experience.

“Olive trees growing in Clapham !”

Previous diners are right to query the speed of service, but the food is better than described. The lemonade is certainly very tangy, clearly a home made speciality !

“Lovely Escargot!”
Reviewed March 21, 2012

I must say I had no idea about this place and probably walked past it a bunch of times. One evening quite late me and a friend were in need of food. We just walked in and managed to get a table by pure chance as it was very busy. Had lots of wine and food, the best being the snails which I would go back just for. It is quite like Paris, the waiting staff sounded French and were quite abrupt and a bit rude but i like that.. It was very Parisian and a few weeks later when in Paris, it all felt so familiar. Recommended.

“Such a little piece of Paris”
Reviewed March 1, 2012

We felt like we were back in the back streets of Paris when we found this restaurant. The food was equal to Paris at its best and the staff were so nice. We started with a champagne and then the house wine is perfect. All of the meals were delicious. Definately worth a visit
