Description: 'With more soul than a millipede wearing size 17 boots, ceilings and walls strewn with the instrumental heirlooms of a bygone bohemia, this 50s cafe screams throw-back. Successfully and audaciously blending 50s coffee bar, wine bar, club, music venue and breakfast bar with an easy smoothness, this live music haven is the cornerstone of Old Brompton Road, which has refreshingly resisted the modern humdrum of high street homogeny. Comfort and conviviality ooze as you can sup European classic wine offerings or New World fare, nurse a hot chocolate or bury your face in an omelette big enough to swallow you whole.' Alex HomerThe Troubadour, established in 1954, has gently expanded to include a larger cafe and live music club, an award winning garden, a specialist wine shop and comfy wine bar, a great gallery for exhibitions and parties and lastly a luxurious serviced appartments, The Garret, at the top of the building & The Eleanor on the floor below. A great place to relax while the world passes you by....

Excellent as always. Have not been there for a few years, nice to find out nothing changed.
We had great steak, fish and chips and burger.

I used to live near the troubadour. So many happy memories.

Went again in July and the breakfast is still great.....proper full English!

The setting is also super cool. Cozy and inspiring.

Can’t wait until next time.

Dirty. Just depressingly grubby in public areas, made me doubt hygiene in the kitchen. Grim masquerading as character. Also served incorrect drink which I mentioned to the barman who could not have been less interested. Grubby, overpriced, impolite staff.

Visited Troubadour a couple of times on a recent stay in Kensington.

On the first visit we had a couple of beers in the little garden out back, which is great on a sunny lunchtime. On the second visit we had late evening cocktails that ended the night perfectly.

Very nice little bar

Went on a Wednesday night to check out an old-school artist from late 70's. Smallish room, good sight lines, nice sound system & mix. The bar is adequate, the prices good and the service was excellent. Attentive but not interrupting the show. Would go back again in a minute for an act i know and would even go out for a unknown act knowing that the club is well-run.
