Konnigans, like it's sister restaurant Hudson's, could never be described as "haute cuisine". However, it is the kind of restaurant that does well during times of austerity; rather like Pizza Express does. The staff are lovely, the food is tasty, the ambience is friendly and the price is right! I just had lunch for £7.50 which included a glass of wine. What more could you ask for in these dire times. Maybe not good enough for the posh boys, but who wants them as fellow customers. Konnigans caters to the locals in the Tonsleys and is unpretentious and down to earth. Worth a visit.
