Description: The Vine in North London’s buzzy Kentish Town is a perfect example of a wonderful marriage between old and new. Housed in a grand old Edwardian pub that’s been contemporarily and stylishly redesigned, this locally popular venue boasts fireside sofas for the winter, and a large secluded garden for Britain’s sunnier days. A modern British menu packed full of comforting favourites has won the hearts of regulars, including Gin cured salmon, buttermilk pancakes, or our fantastic Slow cook dexter beef cheek, pancetta, mushrooms & horseradish mash. Save room for desserts our infamous chocolate brownie glory. Expect to finda beautifully selected drinks list, and exceptionall kept guest ales.

“Foodie”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

Went along with Friends on Saturday evening, service was okay and friendly but disappointed with the portions (starters and main although this varied what you ordered). As it is only a gastro pub not a restaurant I would have expected cheaper prices and larger portions but maybe it is because of the sort of cliente it caters for that it can get away with this. For a Saturday night it was not very busy In the restaurant area although the bar area was much more lively. Overall disappointed and won't be rushing back.

“Best local in NW5!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2013

Love going to The Vine as they never disappoint! The food, the service etc I recommend the sunday roast, they do brilliant Sunday Roast, I get so full but still barely try to fit in one of their tempting dessert which we and up sharing! I also meet friends outside for lunch, they do great tapas style little bites if you don't fancy lunch/dinner. I recommend the Chill Prawn with their homemade soda bread, yummy! The best part if that this is one of our locals & my friends that I bring here love it. Great for groups, meet for drinks, outside tables are brilliant, great for family & couples too!

“5* Sunday Lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 18, 2013

Went here for Father's Day, the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. In my opinion, the best Sunday roast in Kentish Town.

“Good outside area but average food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2013

Fun pub with large indoor and outdoor areas in a great location. Huge restaurant but I wouldn't bother eating there - food is very average. Lovely staff though.

“Amazing sunday lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2013

Came here with the kids for sunday lunch and it was easily the best pub lunch I've had.
Sunday roasts are usually overcooked meat, and the potatoes are shabby, this managed to avoid both of those pitfalls.
Beautiful, pinkish beef with yorkies, crispy roast spuds and loads of gravy. Had to order something off-piste for my son who seems to be on hunger strike and the kitchen were more than happy to oblige.
Not overly packed (unlike pizza east opposite), great food, this place will be RAMMED when the sun's out in the summer.
