“Delicious indeed”
Reviewed May 1, 2013 via mobile

We Recommend and will most likely go there again as it is convenient and not far from our hotel.

All the dishes were Freshly made and delicious. Service was prompt. The menu is good and pricing reasonable. I can definitely recommend agedashi tofu, even people who do not eat tofu found it really yummy at this restaurant.

Just beware their work hours, as lunch is closed by 2 45pm, which may not work for busy tourists like us.

I am asked to write 100 words in this review, but there is nothing special to write about this place apart from the fact that is it good, reasonable and convenient if you are staying at Earls Court..........

“Try the pork belly”
Reviewed April 26, 2013

Delicious pork belly, so tender you can hardly pick it up with chopsticks. They also had excellent sashimi. Not the cheapest Japanese restaurant around, but great quality food and the staff were very friendly.

“Good choice for Japanese food”
Reviewed January 22, 2013

I visited this restaurant twice in the past week, so have got a reasonable feel for it, and tried several different dishes. It has a clean and simple decor, possibly even a little stark and austere, but nevertheless the staff are welcoming and service is good.

Overall the food is of a very good standard, and definitely has an authentic feel. I tried starters of vegetable gyoza (pan grilled dumplings), which were delicate and delicious, and crispy deep fried baby squid, which was light, with absolutely no greasiness; in fact, I might have even liked a little bit of oil on the squid - it was almost too dry! The first main course that I tried was black cod with sweet miso marinade, which was absolutely wonderful, moist, delicate and beautifully executed; the other main that I had was beef yakiniku (thin sliced marinaded beef with fruity garlic soy, served with noodles) which was fine but nothing special - fairly standard oriental fare, although the beef was beautifully tender. I also tried the kimchi (pickled Chinese cabbage) which was interesting, with a mildly fermented taste, and worth a try.

Definitely a good choice for very reasonably priced Japanese food; the only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is the slightly sterile atmosphere, and the somewhat ordinary noodle dish.

“Best Japanese restaurant I have visited in the UK”
Reviewed December 2, 2012

Had a lovely meal here. We chose mixed tempura (prawn and veg), mixed sashimi (salmon, tuna, squid and sea bass) and beef yakiniku. All were superb. We also had a sorbet each to finish.

The chef here clearly knows what he is doing, and it probably wasn't even any more expensive that the Wagamama across the road. Come here instead!
