“Yummy!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2014

I kicked the night off with a raspberry/passion fruit cocktail, delicious!
Followed by some swiftly served food, black cod, tofu and avocado, soft shell crab, which was equally as delicious. Place was buzzing and if I was to go again would try and grab the seats that overlook the chefs for fun factor.

“One of London's finest”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2014

When looking for Japanese fusion cuisine this is one of the best, if not the best offering in London.

Been here 3 times now and every time the result was spectacular.

The service is good, although I have seen better for a 250£+ per couple restaurant, the place is nicely decorated and full of vibe.
The bar is nice as well although I personally prefer Hakkasan's a bit more. The cocktail selection and execution are spot on though.

Food wise now,
The signature black cod is the best I have tried, and prefer it over Nobu and Hakkasan, the Zuma salad is nice and fresh, salmon tartar is just exquisite.
The prawn tempura is cooked to perfection, and you have to try and jumbo tiger prawn, and the salted grilled seabass...

As far as deserts are concerned look no further than the green tea and banana cake, its possibly the best desert in the history of sugar.

The wine and sake list is also impressive although we prefer to stick with cocktails most of the time.

Make sure you make a reservation or walk in late (9.30++) in case you need a table. Weekends are booked usually 1-2 months in advance
so call early or utilize the black AMEX of yours.

Great place.

“Posh Japanese Eating factory”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2014

Incredibly busy, noisy restaurant...Very big and therefore almost by definition a bit sterile and impersonal...despite the friendly and efficient staff... This is more an eating factory than a restaurant. The food is OK, but certainly not the best Japanese you can have in London... Ideal place to see and to be seen, and no, I am not talking about the food....would I go back? Yes, certainly, because the concept is still very entertaining....

“Hopping and humming”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 5, 2014

Zuma London is a hopping place. It has good food, though you will always have to wait to be seated. Happily it is worth the wait. In the meanwhile... It has a very interesting drink menu - both alcoholic and non-alcoholic actually - and the crowd is lively and interesting. The food comes as it is ready - which makes for a very fun evening and a high tab. All in all a hearty four star recommendation.
