Description: Drawing on Joel Robuchon's internationally renowned culinary expertise, already accredited with several Michelin Stars at restaurants throughout the world, L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon's philosophy is based on serving simple cuisine of the most exceptional quality. This London restaurant has been awarded Michelin Star, as well as 3 AA Rosettes, establishing it as one of the most exceptional places to dine in London. Robuchon's menu delights the palate with clean insightful flavours and refreshingly understated presentation. The dishes are predominantly French with Italian and Spanish influences. The dining experience at L'Atelier is an interactive one. On the ground floor, the eating counter surrounds the entire kitchen where the food is prepared. Robuchon sees the immediate benefit of this Japanese-inspired layout to chefs, as one can gauge the reaction of clients, and even converse with them whilst they watch their food being prepared. Unlike the sister restaurants in Paris and Tokyo, the London restaurant also has another 20 seats where diners can sit opposite each other. Meanwhile, La Cuisine on the first floor offers more traditional restaurant seating in a setting that could be likened to dining in the kitchen itself. Wherever you are seated you will enjoy the highest quality food in an informal, convivial environment. Valet parking is also available. Please note, last reservations are taken half an hour prior to closing time. Dress code: Smart Casual, shorts are not permitted.

First time here last night and it is one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten in. No, of course it is not cheap, but it is very good value for money. There is a prix fixe menu, £27 for 3 courses, but if you add drinks to that, the bill for 2 including service still comes in a sliver under £200. But it is so worth it! The beef flank with gratin potatoes was divine. Even better than the food is the staff. Service was impeccable. The female German sommelier is outstanding. The other (mostly French) staff are quietly effective and super polite. Just the right balance of being friendly and helpful without being overbearing or in your face. Absolutely no snootiness. None of that "I'm-too-good-to-serve-you-and-you-should-be-lucky-to-be-eating-here". Genuine friendliness, not corporate-enforced. The staff are clearly being treated well by management and it shows in their attitude to the customer. I can't wait to go back. I also like the fact they don't have a silly formal dress code like some other top-end restaurants in London. Smart jeans and smart trainers are fine.

Try the lunch set menu - excellent value at 22GBP for 2 courses or 28GBP for three courses. The food was truly excellent, the green pea soup was a star - the soup itself is just perfect, and it would seem unbelievable but the addition of tiny croutons topped with goats cheese made it impossibly better. Main course of rotisserie chicken served on macaroni gratinee wih mushroom foam was earthy perfection and I am guilty of lying awake at night thinking of this dish. Of course the chocolate pearl dessert was a sensation. The restaurant itself is sleek and stylish yet still comfortable, the staff extremely friendly and helpful.

Expensive small plates, excellent service. Don't go if you don't want a very nouvelle cuisine experience. And if you want a little more energy, sit downstairs in the uber-cool bar vs. the more quiet, reserved, black and white upstairs.

The food is cooked to perfection, very good wines, great service, hte way you seat in the balcony looking to the people cooking is very interesting. I have to say that, besides it is a little pricey (200 pounds for a couple including wine), I would like to dinner there again and again....

Very quirky, attention to detail was amazing, the staff were slightly offish, but the young girl on reception was extremly friendly, food was amazing but when I have eaten in other top restaurants the service has been amazing, and I feel that is the only thing that let this unusal dining experience down, but it is well worth a visit....
