“Very good food”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

I had a nice dinner here the other night. The menu offers a good variety, including many vegetarian options. My fish was well seasoned, and the portion was good-sized. I was a bit surprised that they charged extra for rice, but was satisfied overall.

“Not your average Indian”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

I've been there three times. It's rather self-effacing with only a door at street level - you could easily miss it. Downstairs it's smart and comfortable (not sure about the multiple mirrors in the toilet area though).
The food is excellent, well cooked and presented and different from standard Indian resaurant fare (try the tandoori scallops or the squid).
And it's open quite late, which is useful when you've had a few pints at the Market Porter, Rake or Brew Wharf.

“Indieninspired”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

It was set in a basement. It was still a very bright room. The service was friendly and the decoration modern. The food was good but when you order a tomato and salmon soup you expect to see some salmon and not just taste it.

“Good Meal”
Reviewed November 3, 2012 via mobile

Had a good meal this evening .
I had the chicken Karahi which was very good. The service was polite and prompt .
The restaurant was a bit untidy when we arrived , a few empty wine and beer bottles still on some tables.
We were the first customers abound they were soon cleared away.
The food was very tasty and of good quality.

“Terrible - very disappointing :(”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

Me and my friend stumbled upon this place last night, the smells from outside the restaurant were extrordinary so we thought this is the place.... how wrong were we!

Staff were slow to take our order and when the food finally did arrive it was very bland and tasteless. We were extremely disappointed and complained but all we were offered was a sorry from our waiter who said that they were down one waiter and busy. Didn't really explain why the food was poor quality but apology was accepted and we left promptly.

We had the paneer makani and garlic chicken both of which were bland and the garlic naan was burnt. The best thing was the plain pilau rice. This all came to an £30 meal for which we had no enjoyment.
