Staff were really friendly and service was fast. Food was excellent. I recommend a visit on Tagine Tuesdays! There's plenty to visit around the restaurant once you're finished too, great location.

We had a great time for our office outing, they have great selection of gin based cocktails and great food in particular Tianjin braised lamb.
the only doenfall was that we were about 20 people and had to split between two tables, luckly there were close butwe still played musical chairs to mix the teams.

We ended a couple of weeks in Europe with a night in London, meeting a friend for dinner. We strolled neighborhoods near our hotel, just talking, until it was time to eat, and stumbled across Ayoush. Being lovers of North African cuisine, it was a happy find. We were seated outside, which we enjoyed.

Service was average. The staff seemed helpful but a bit disorganized--a few things were forgotten and it was unclear who was assigned to our table. Our initial round of cocktails took forever to appear but were enjoyable once they did. We enjoyed the mezze--very well-done flavors--and had hearty main dishes, including some delicious lamb. I've had better North African cuisine elsewhere--at a fraction of the cost--but it was, overall, an enjoyable meal.

My only complaint would be cost--it was a VERY expensive meal. That's to be expected in central London, but even knowing how pricey London can be, this felt expensive for the experience.

We booked a table for two online via their website because we read existing good reviews about this restaurant.

The location is great. It is close to the tube. Lots of bars and restaurants in the same lively area.

We arrived slightly earlier hoping to smoke some sheesha (again after reading good reviews). The lady with the blond hair who worked there didn't greet us and simply said she cannot give us a table to smoke sheesha. At this point the owner intervened and offered us a table; top marks to this gentleman because he was down to earth , polite and helpful.

He even moved us to a table later on where there were outside heaters.

The sheesha was nice. The person who served it was helpful in choosing a particular flavour.

We left the table to go inside and eat the meal. The starters (shared mezze platter) was very tasty. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to taste a few different flavours of Morocco.

For our main dishes, we had a lamb and chicken tagine. Beautifully cooked. The only thing that let it down was the rice. It didn't taste fresh, it was bland and boring. It didn't compliment the main dish nor the palate.

Overall the atmosphere and the ambience at Ayoush is appealing. The price of the food is expensive but that is to be expected for the centre of London. The staff are attentive and well mannered apart from the Seating Assistant lady who didn't have the Moroccan hospitality of the owner and other staff.
