Brought here by in-laws who were introduced to it by workmen working on nearby property. It does the all-day breakfast fare but is amazingly a proper neighbourhood Italian family restaurant too with £8.95 for 3course lunch - mussels to start, steak or veal Diane mains, trifle for dessert - I don't think the prices have changed since the 80s, and the service was polite and efficient, and the restaurant even had tablecloths & linen napkins. Cheap drinks too. They do have a more expensive menu if you wish to splurge (eg. T-bone steak for £20). In recession Britain, there are still places like this that can offer great value and quality and they deserve to be celebrated.
