All of the positive aspects of this apartment (location, cleanliness, appliances, etc.) have been mentioned numerous times in other reviews, and are accurate. My wife and I stayed for the first two weeks in September and had a wonderful time. Having stayed in about a dozen apartments throughout Europe, we do have a few suggestions. None of these should dissuade anyone from renting this apartment. Rather, they could make the stay even better.
1) Although Jeffrey explained how to operate the heat, clothes washer and dishwasher, it would be helpfull to have simplified instructions printed out. If you have been traveling for many hours with little sleep it can be difficult to remember everything.
2) There is no place to put soap, shampoo, etc. in the shower. A shower caddy hanging over the showerhead would be nice.
3) As mentioned by others, a few sharp, serrated steak knives are needed. There is one large bread knife, but the blade is not secure in the handle.
4) I am sure they have a few fitted sheets for the mattress, but the one that was on our bed was a bit too small and would pop off a corner on occasion. Took some effort to put it back.
As I mentioned, these are minor inconveniences and in no way should prevent you from having a great stay.
The location, just a five minute walk from the Earl's Court tube station and on the Piccadilly line from Heathrow, is just perfect. Easy to explore all areas for London yet stay in a residential area. The apartment is clean with most basics for a short stay. It would be helpful is instruction for appliances, wif, etci were typed out to avoid handwriting confusion and forgetting verbal information. Also, it would save on water running the dishwasher if the were more than 4 plates and bowls. Wifi was consistently good. We enjoyed our stay.
My 19yr old son and I stayed in this apartment in early June 2017. We enjoy renting apartments when we travel as it gives each of us our own space. This apartment was very clean, had all of the necessary amenities, and the wifi was excellent. It's also in a great location as the Earl's Court tube station is well connected and there are plenty of places to eat on Earl's Court Rd. Jeffrey met us at the apartment as promised when we arrived from the airport. He was very kind and explained how everything worked. I would be happy to stay here again and miss the UK already!
We stayed here for 2 nights and had a fantastic stay! All communication with the owner before we arrived was very good. The owner Jeffrey even met us at Earls Court tube station to pass on keys and info about apartment. The apartment is situated in a quiet street about a 5 min walk from tube station. It is a very clean and comfortable apartment with everything you could need. The bedroom even has a small balcony! There are plenty restaurants and shops all within a 5 min walk. It was so nice to come back to our apartment after a busy day sightseeing in London! We would certainly stay here again. Thanks for a lovely stay and for being able to leave our luggage until later in the day!
Awesome Kensington apartment, very clean, modern bathroom and kitchen, comfy living room, central, close to the tube ( 5 minutes walk), two bright rooms with big windows. Jeffrey and Candy are very kind and helpful. We had a wonderful stay, my 11 and 15 year old kids enjoyed the high ceilings and long evening readings on the comfy sofas. We'd like to come back next year again!
On the positive side, the hosts are very friendly, and the apartment is very clean. On the other hand, the décor is not very attractive and rather shop-worn (stained carpet, for example), and the neighborhood is fine but not really very interesting. As a way to experience London, it is not first rate.
