I have visited this restaurant on average once a year for the past six years or so and as London is a bit desolate between Christmas and New Year I thought this would be a good old stand by to meet with friends as the atmosphere would hopefully be as buzzy as we could expect.
We were not disappointed. The place was packed the atmosphere just right and we had a convivial
evening with excellent friendly service and good food. The menu is quite limited but what they do is done very well. My husband had the endive salad with pears and gorgonzola dressing which he said was a fresh crispy relief after stodgy Xmas food and then duck with mustard fruits which he pronounced excellent.
This is good Italian food but not the River Cafe that said the owners should be congratulated
for maintaining a standard you can return to on a regular basis and fell confident of having an exemplary evening out in London.
