I went to the Savoy Grill once again with friends. The reception was exceedingly inviting and we were shown to our table with diligence and courtesy. We were proffered the menu and as was previously arranged opted for the Sunday set meal which consisted of Roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, and a selection of vegetables with either a glass of fruit cocktail or a bloody Mary and a dessert an Apple flambe.
Firstly we were offered some delightful warm bread with a soupcon of delicious butter, then the main course arrived in all its glory, beautifully served with sauce and horseradish sauce, it was sumptuous.
After our main course we were served the dessert which was equally delicious.
The bill total inclusive of a cover charge and service came to £55.00 each which for one of the greatest names in gastronomy was not bad at all. The service was attentive but not too effusive. In fact it was perfect. Please do treat yourselves to this remarkable restaurant, one you will be hard pressed to forget.

We used to love this place & considered it a treat every time that we visited London. We visited last Saturday evening & found it lacklustre to be honest. Maybe we got a bad waiter but he blatantly had an attitude issue & when I asked him to recommend a dish he spent 5 mins telling me about the dishes that he would not recommend!! I had Guinea Foul which was good but the steak etc was very mundane & average. Nothing average about the bill though which includes a cover charge plus the standard 12.5% tip! Sorry Gordon we love your work & have written rave reviews about Claridges & Chelsea but this ex-icon is losing it's special gloss..

Overall it was very good. You’re clearly paying for the name and then additional for Ramsay’s name, but it was good.
Salmon starter from the seasonal lunch menu was disappointing. Ridiculously small portion. Tasty but disappointing.
The main was glazed chicken breast and that was superb. The vegetables accompanying it were even better. Again small portions but extremely tasty.
The seasonal menu lunch is actually not bad value considering the location.
Service excellent, but slow.
Seasonal lunch menu does need more variety. There are only 2 choices per starter and mains.
Would visit again, but need longer time for time due to the slow service.

We have been in this restaurant for a business dinner, attracted by the restaurant's fame for its excellent meat. Unfortunately not all the guests could appreciate the aforementioned meat, as, as stated by the person in charge of taking the orders, there were not enough cuts of meat for everyone. Some of us have chosen (with satisfaction) fish dishes, while others have had to settle for a dish of flambee meat at the table. The grill cuts were finished! Now, beyond the high quality of what we have eaten, I cannot accept that a restaurant of this level of fame and price may find itself in a situation of this kind. It is simply not acceptable.

The service was excellent, but they warned us that the chosen dishes would only arrive after about 45 minutes. Well… To grill meat… 45 minutes? Then they suggested that we take could appetizers to "fill" the wait.

Fish dishes were particularly appreciated. Excellent, in particular, the crab salad.

Finally, the wine cellar is really well stocked, both with not particularly expensive bottles and with valuable choices. But, in my opinion, the surcharge on the wine’s prices is excessive.

Me and my partner was at the savoy grill for post theatre dinner on Friday night and what a major let down it was, we was under the impression that we was going to get fine dining food and service and in reality all we got was what we felt was basic resturant food and service, the lamb chops was just that lamb chops and was very mundane in tase, my fish was far to salty, all in all very disappointing especially when they promote this place as one of gordon Ramseys main London restaurants, if that the best he can turn out then he needs to retrain his chefs in how to turn out food that is acceptable for the location, the worst part of the night was what we could only call amateur at best service, the waiter who was so called looking after us was in my option quite rude, as he was taking my partners order he was look at other tables around him for what i do not know but all I know is that he was not looking at my partner when taking her order, he then shouted across the table at me for what I wanted to order,
He lent right across the table to poor my wine rather than come around to my side to pour, all this made for a real let down especially as the bill came to well over £350 and on top of that service charge which I was very tempted to take off the bill but did not due to be embarrassed in front of my Partner, this to me is just a tourist type trap with them using the name Ramsey to get big bucks from the customer for basic service and food,
In my option there is so so many more much better restaurants in the immediate area and more more cheaper with much better quality service and food so save yourself a few hundred pounds and take elsewhere, and Ramsey sort out your staff,
