I went to the Savoy Grill once again with friends. The reception was exceedingly inviting and we were shown to our table with diligence and courtesy. We were proffered the menu and as was previously arranged opted for the Sunday set meal which consisted of Roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, and a selection of vegetables with either a glass of fruit cocktail or a bloody Mary and a dessert an Apple flambe.
Firstly we were offered some delightful warm bread with a soupcon of delicious butter, then the main course arrived in all its glory, beautifully served with sauce and horseradish sauce, it was sumptuous.
After our main course we were served the dessert which was equally delicious.
The bill total inclusive of a cover charge and service came to £55.00 each which for one of the greatest names in gastronomy was not bad at all. The service was attentive but not too effusive. In fact it was perfect. Please do treat yourselves to this remarkable restaurant, one you will be hard pressed to forget.
