WE had a Sunday evening roast in the pub which has 2 floors with the upper floor being the restaurant. In the lower floor, the weekly quiz night was going on and seemed so much fun we couldn't help just hanging around after dinner to watch and catch the atmosphere. Seems like something to try to join on a future evening there. But upstairs was an intimate and quite nicely furnished dining room. Two of us had no room for a roast so ordered the pasta dish which was a very tasty tortellini stuffed with mushrooms. It fit the bill perfectly. One of us had the roast chicken and the other a steak. Both were cooked to perfection and delicious. We were also served by a lovely and friendly staff member from Paris who took very good care of us throughout. We will certainly return for the food also. This reaffirms that pubfaire is often the best choice when dining in the UK.
